The film opens today in NYC and LA, and more theaters will be added every weekend. Keep an eye on https://tickets.redrocket.movie/ to see when it hits your area.
Looks pretty fun. A24 has been putting out some dogshit for awhile now, but Florida Project is amazing.
I like The Florida Project, too. I think Red Rocket might have more of Tangerine's spirit than The Florida Project, but I recommend all of them. I neglected to mention that The Florida Project is still streaming on Netflix. If your local library offers free subscriptions to Kanopy and/or Hoopla, his films are available to stream there, too: https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/the-florida-project https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/tangerine https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/starlet
The movie is out on Blu-ray today, and can be rented on Google Play, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and the rest.
Since I liked the Florida Project, I watched this the other night on Prime. While both movies focus on fringe, down and out characters, Red Rocket's main character is a total, cringe inducing self centered scumbag (which is intentional). It's a very good movie, but don't expect wacky humor like the poster seems to allude to. It has humor, but the actions of the main character are dispicable.
