It's like a bottomless well of bubbling, creative "me too". BTW, was gonna change my handle to "RottingZombieDickMonster" but pulled out when I realized that I'd have to settle for "RottingZombieDickMonster819". I can't believe that all those other guys stole my idea.

Got to say, I don’t really mind the Seymourart one because it reminds me of being stupid as a kid and putting two party hats over my ears.

Now here is a diamond in the rough!
I love everything about it. Simple, straight to the point, 10/10 seasonal masterpiece, coming from the mind of a highly disturbed 8 year old, left alone in his sister bedroom for an afternoon.

This is the first toy in the thread that has bothered me because of the staple placement.

Oh look, another rotting ape. I’m not going to even bother counting how many fartists have made one already.

I also have to admit that I love the King Bugdorah. I like bugs. Bug monsters, even better. I hate the knee-eyes and chest-eyes though. Should have just kept it 100% bug.
Everything else in that photo is a fucking abomination.

So weird, so unpleasant. Not witty, not fun, not transgressive.

Ugh. I had a friend from Taiwan who talked about racist stuff that seemed to be acceptable there, including a product called "black people's toothpaste." Guess some soft vinyl toy makers are okay with it, too.

I think it's time some folk who have clout or a voice in the 'scene' step up and confront issues of racial stereotyping and use of fascist symbolism.

But there is no unified "scene," is there? Just small islands of producers and consumers separated by language.

I knew people in the ceramics dept. at the UofMN in the early 1970's who made molds of baby dolls and then were casting them in both raku and I think, porcelain. They made teapots with baby heads and too many appendages 50 freaking years ago. Yawn.
