They have no markings.I was expecting one part finger puppet toys and was surprised to see flat feet with very discretely jointed tails.Nice paint too for what were presumably pachi cheapies.

Sheesh. Very cool gang right there. Who makes them? I've seen the sculpts around but totally forgotten.

New guys landed today, quite an exciting package. This is 'Fiburu' (Fibble?) from Nijyana, a label by Keitaro Nishiyama. There was an earlier release in cyan and white, but this was the one to own for me: the missionary omake that debuted with this release is hilarious, and the palette + styling of the monster put me in mind of Adventure Time.

Production is high-quality, with solid joints (bordering on too tight for the legs) and thick, glossy vinyl. The paint around Fiburu's face, hands and feet is quite thick, definitely meant to cover the vinyl rather than fading in and out of it, and a little lumpy. But I think it works well with Nijiyana's rough-hewn style, and given how popular his work seems to be after just a couple of years, I'm not alone in that impression. Fiburu can also sit down stably, which gives some nice display options.

I'm not totally sold on the styling, and prefer Nijiyana's earlier finger puppet sculpts, which are absolutely perfect to my eye. But this feels more refined than his first jointed figure, and I look forward to seeing more from the maker with time.

Just had to actually comment on this, because it's rare a post here lines ups quite so precisely with my own tastes. I don't even want to know what you must have paid for Mami (Though I think I may have seen where you got this from).

And the Gargantuas have never looked so pretty! (Is it weird that was one of the few kaiju movies I watched the most as a kid?)

 

@SpectralNight Hey thanks a lot. Yeah ive been hunting Mami for a long time. I got this one at auction for around 38k. With the exchange rate it wasnt as bad as I was expecting (not cheap though). Must have been wild seeing WOG as a kid. I didnt see it till I was an adult.

 

Some recent pick ups! Got this insane Grody x Real Head mash up. It has a clear RxH torso under the Grody baby head torso.

Fun box today with M1 goodness, Charactics, and some paper goods I need to take more photos.

The baby M1's are interesting because some are painted over the flesh blanks while others are cast in the color vinyl that shows. The thick paint on the flesh vinyl is still well done, but it definitely has a different feel to it.

 

I still need more.

THAT is a solid box day. Love the baby series sculpts and those paint jobs fit them so well. The goji diarama is great too. Would like to see more of the ultra picture book also.
