The splatter figures make me want a figure of the guy who exploded onto the other figure. Like the pulped out Brain version. Scanners style.

Look at the difference between the two. I like the second one much better with all the Blood!!

Wow...these are some of the worst looking Brains yet.

The whole "bloody" technique is a cheap trick that has been done to death. Time for SB (and other companies) to come up with some new figures or ideas!

I vote for more "handpainted" figures like the 06' Halloween Fan Club set. I can't get over how outstanding that set is!

While I agree that it's not imaginitive by any means, and I'm (personally) a fan of cleaner, sharper lines and color schemes - like the secreters and the skulletor set - it remains difficult for me to judge this type of thing based on photos. The FC set you're referring to is a perfect example: it looked great in pictures, but when I had it in hand I didn't care for it at all, as it was a little too muddy and indistinct for my tastes. I picked up one of the Brains, and I'm hoping that it pops the way it seems it might.

Failing that, it seems like perfect custom fodder if stripped to the base & repainted - has there ever been an all-white brain before?

I love the blood splattered versions previously done, but the difference is, those were already killer designs and then they sprayed blood all over the bastards.
In these ones, the blood spray pretty much is the design, and for me, it just doesn't work
