monster from It Conquered The World I'm a new fan to B movies and when I see a toy inspired by an old monster from a B movie, I feel like I've just spotted a celebrity. Excuse this post if everyone knew this already.
cumblutiful yeah, he so nice looking. I think he likes boobies a lot too. He's like that guy and baltan in his finely tailored suit
what rock was I under when this came out a couplea weeks back... guess I will get asecond chance at SDCC...
Only 2 of the Garg fight figures knock me out, Gargadeath, and this guy even more. The outfit is what sells me.
Nice! I love B movies! Nice catch Lamour! I am going to see Death Race 2000 in a local theater at the end of the month, I am so stoked! http://www.midnitemoviemamacita.com/
i found a custom cumberlain made of wood by jim shaw. "For Jim Shaw's current show in Los Angeles, The Dream That Was No More A Dream, the California, post-conceptual surrealist commissioned a hardwood version of the monster from B-movie master Roger Corman’s 1956 It Conquered The World. The trick for the fabricator was to figure out how to construct the creature’s organic cucumber-like shape with rectilinear planks of pine. If that was not hard enough, Shaw had dreamed his creature with piano keys for teeth. The monster’s body needed to encase an entire operational piano. Opting for a cask-like structure, the fabricator used abutted boards all cut at the correct shape and angle. These boards were doubled or tripled in thickness wherever it was necessary to make the shape more rounded. Usually one only ever gets to see the final product. On occasion, however, the incredibly hard work that goes into constructing such a large-scale hand-made sculpture (the monster stands taller than eight feet) is documented. "
Wow, is that a vinyl hat?!! Awesome!!! Now ur hair can have that refreshing vinyl fregrence~ I saw a Vinyl Ultra Man baseball glove at Kimono My house, it was really cool and not in bad shape for being so old and being made of vinyl.
That fight figure is dope. Looks like it was a 2006 release that had been sold a few weeks ago. It doesn't say anything about having them again this year ??? or is there a new one. edit: these guys are pretty sweet too:
That was one of my favorite sci-fi flicks growing up ! I wish Gargamel would make more Cumberlains, like a clear color set ! It is hands down my favorite Garg-figure.
