hard to hold back if that's actually the price...but I'm limiting myself strictly to the two I have unless they really blow me away (the marble glow was close)
Maybe they figure since it didn't sell out, they have to drop the price to clear it out of inventory.
galleries typically take 50% so, priced at $50, even then the NYCC one shouldn't have been more than $100, they are still making another $30 on top of that. toy tokyo has dubious pricing methods
Regardless of who takes what cut, this almost has to be a mistake. The DX does not even retail for $50 in Japan.
If it is a mistake, they probably would have taken down the listing by now, as I'm sure they've received several orders by this time---although, I haven't received a confirmation
I just saw this post. I couldn't find them. Are they all gone? If this is or real, I am sooooooo pissed. I still have the receipt in my wallet - $130.05 with tax I got it the last day of the con.
this was the con release. The larger Doku DX was for the show. I didn't know this little guy retailed for that much at the con.
also, this wasn't a gallery item it was a Con exclusive...the cost per piece on this is pretty high...so that's why it retails for $125... so we're not talking "scum" here, playdoh...we're talking normal business... when have you seen a DX for less than $125, except for this mistake? you guys are like sharks...always smelling blood and ready to pounce...but I know for a fact TT sells stuff for the lowest price they can considering the price they pay for a given item...which is why sometimes it's less than most people, and sometimes it's a little more...because there's different sources for stuff in Japan... anyway, the $50 price tag is bogus...congrats if anyone gets it at this price sine that's much less than Japanese retail...
yeah like the secret base that every other retailer was selling for 125.00 http://www.toytokyo.com/shopping/index. ... ct_id/8927 LOVE TT <3
I assume that no one here would even try to 'enforce' that $50 price. Even if it worked, you'd just be managing to screw Lev - A retailer who contributes a lot to our little scene and sells at fair prices - simply for an honest error.
