Anyone else think that this just happened to be a coincidence?

If you sent a suggestion on the last day of February, I doubt he would've had time to take it from idea to full realization within this short a time period to flesh the idea out, get the sculpt done, create the molds, and have them cast...

Sound to me like you might be trying to take credit for something that was already in the works to begin with.

I think this toy looks really awesome. Don't know much about the history, but none the less.

I'm also really excited about the life size skull!

If you're not trying to get any sort of credit or recognition for this, why are you going on and on about how it was your idea and that Hiddy somehow owes you any sort of explaination?

GUYx1 made a custom and so happens hiddy posts something similar and all he wants to know is if he had any influence on it, or just if hiddy digs it. sounds like that's all he wants... hell, i'd be excited and curious too. give him a break!

I understand that, but I'm confused about what sort of response he's trying to get...

He says that he wasn't looking for credit for the idea, yet he gets upset that Hiddy hasn't responded to his inquiries after sending him unsolicited pictures.

So if he's not looking for credit or acknowledgment, what sort of response is he expecting from Hiddy?

It sounds to me that credit or acknowledgment from Hiddy about the figure is exactly what he's out for.

Issue closed. I made a cute toy tribute to SB like I wanted.
    Hiddy went a different direction.
I have deleted any post about my toy.
I don't want any attention or any credit.

    Please kindly END THIS.

that is awesome. I can't wait to see both of them. I like the boogieman head, and anything with guts (paper, cloth, whatever) is alright by me.

The New Dokuro figure is a cool amalgamation of exisitng molds.

    (Killer Tomato Headsculpt & Dokuroheadsculpt)
    [IMG][IMG]

Not being a Kaiju fan, I wasn't even aware of the boogiemen
until a month ago. Never saw them in detail.
Seeing the Boogie head, it is obviously a Dokuroking head.
The Boogie head certainly deservies to be used for something walderish.
It will be nice to see it in full color.

I'd be happy to purchase the figure in full Dokuroking colors.

I'm actually very disappointed in the use of the Boogieman head. I wish it was either a new SB sculpted head or a Skullbrain. But with the Boogie head I probably won't be buying this one.

It's not how ORIGINAL it is per se, but what you do with it.

Cure is great at stealing scuplts of toys.
Like the Killer Tomatoes toy Cure used here, as well as the Screamin Model kit heads they stole for the
    Invade from Universe series.
Cure has a way of changing the colors to make things you SHOULD recognize,
look completely different. They haven't been sued yet, so they are doing something right.

If the paint is done right, The boogie man head should make a great addition.
It is like performing toy surgery at home, but on a little bigger level.
You want to make something, you use what you have around the shop.

Part of the whole Kaiju thing is to reuse whatever you can and rely on a
    great paint job to differentiate.

Previous paint jobs have made the BOOGIE head look quite fearsome.
Hopefully the right paint job will make the head look a little cuter to fit with the SKULLBRAIN theme.

Once the figure is painted I am sure it will make a great addition to all the other
Dokuro colored purple vinyl items on the display shelf.

I had the understanding that all the Boogie Mans were using Killer Tomato heads as kind of a tribute, I think a lot of the Japanese toy creators have a lot of love for the American toys of the 80s and 90s, hence the madball inspired pieces like the Obake dog and Mad Mantis.

    I'm confused ?

Will it be a oni mask over the skullbrain head ?

Or will he oni head be a full head and replace the skullbrian head ?
