i just got to see the an early screening of the flick via work. it was really rad in my opinion and made me feel like a kid. a couple stupid/non believable "hollywood" parts but overall really awesome. i don't want to give shit away so let's post here as people see it. i will say it ended setting shia up to be a rich rich man...this will be a 2008 blockbuster.
Re: indy 4 Freakin' awesome. Raiders of the Lost Ark was a tie with Goonies for my all time favorite childhood movie. Don't know how many times I begged my pop to take me to see Indy. I'm stoked. I was always kinda hoping they wouldn't bury this franchise. Can't wait! Dah da-da-dahhhhhhhh, Dah da-daaaaaaaaaa...
Re: indy 4 Dont know when i'm going, but I will be going. I must have watched raiders 1000 times in my lifetime. I may go to a midnight screening tomorrow night, but I'll pay for that at work on thursday...tough call.
Re: indy 4 I saw it on Sunday with stodgy press people. I had many laughs and there are some really spectacular action sequences. Still, Temple of Doom remains supreme in my book.
Re: indy 4 i have extremely low expectations. So hopefully I will like it...it looks entertaining but forgettable. I hope I'm wrong.
Re: indy 4 Afraid not. It's quite an unpopular book! Wanted to add that I picked up one of these Indy manpurses. I think they're pretty cool. This company found a stash of genuine Mark VII gasmask bags. The reproductions with leather strap are sold out but it seems they still have some originals. http://www.whatpriceglory.com/mkviibag.html
Re: indy 4 a few facts while we wait... 1. the second movie actually happened before the first if you put them chronologically 2. tom selleck was actually cast first to be indy but he passed to do the magnum pi tv series
Re: indy 4 I just noticed that the other day, would you believe (especially the amount of times i've seen it) and I didn't realize that the guy that shows them to the plane is Dan Ackroyd!
Re: indy 4 Can you imagine the Indy uniform with Selleck. "now starring Selleck's Chest Hair." gross.
Re: indy 4 Last Crusade was definitly my favorite. While we are on Indy facts check this one out. C3PO and R2D2 on the column.
Re: indy 4 I read about the 3po/r2 ark thing awhile but never was able to find it. Thanks for the image
Re: indy 4 I believe the Kenner toy of that set also has the R2 and 3PO. I think Leia is in the diagram, too.
Re: indy 4 I'm in the minority of the minority... Last Crusade is my favorite... It keeps my attention the most and I find Harrison Ford and Sean Connery to be really entertaining in it. Plus it has the best one liners. "I think goose-stepping morons such as your self should try reading books instead of burning them" classic
Re: indy 4 I have to admit I actually liked Temple of Doom and all its corniness more than Last Crusade, but Raiders of the Lost Ark will always be tops with me. "Kali Ma Shakti de!"
