it's a tardigrade, these microscopic eight-limbed bear-like creatures that live in moss.

    BRYANARCHY, FOR THE WIN!!!

Nice job. I was always fascinated with water bears, and when I saw this in the display case a Toy Tokyo a few months ago I had to have it. I believe it's a candy toy by Kaiyodo.

It was mentioned on Animal Planets "Most Extreme" seies. It was number one as the most extreme survior if I am correct. It can dehydrate its self then when environment is right, it will rehydrate and then live on. They have fould some over 6000 years old that were able to be revivied in and Egyptian tomb.

    interesting toy though

    Awesome!

Tardigrades are amazing. I have actually spent time looking for these little bastards in moss and lichen around here. They're so damn small but so neat! Some can suspend their metabolism and can survive for years completely dehydrated! I remember reading somewhere that you're never further that 30 feet from a water bear.

WOW, that's some interesting stuff. Never been too into bugs, more of a reptile and fish fan, but that's super cool. Love Animal Planet.
