For those of you who are going to be stuck at home on Saturday night and want a good laugh, I'm going to be doing announcing and interviews for the Morristown Madams roller derby team as they battle the Lehigh Valley Special Vixens Unit. It's going to be a web cast, and at some point the links for it are going to be posted here: http://www.nj.com/morristown/ (Of course, those of you who are in the Morristown area are welcome to come see it in person but I realize that there are probably none of you nearby.) Enjoy!
Minneapolis had or still has a roller derby league; picked up the link through the robotlove store and site. Do these local leagues ever play against other out of state leagues? Free slogan: "Violence can be cute and silly."
Yes, but there's a limit to how far they'll usually travel. The team I volunteer for plays teams in NJ, NY, PA, and MA.
Search wikipedia, you'll probably find a team near you. It's getting popular in the UK and Australia, and there's a even a version of it in Japan called "roller game."
Final bout is this Saturday. If you need a laugh, I did some interviews with the skaters between periods last time, probably will this time, too.
