Nice! Do you live in lower Queen Anne? We got about 8"-10" of snow here too - then got freezing rain on top of it. I won't be going to work tomorrow. Maybe I'll have to pull my board out and go find a good hill!
Snow is fun as hell as long as you don't have to shovel it or get stuck on the side of an icey road putting chains on the car. Thankful that I can drive for 40 minutes to hit the snow- but not have to live in it. Cool vid Hillsy. Very cool to see Seattle in the snow.
yeah... i was surprised when i saw the seahawks game... took me awhile to realize they were playing in seattle.
It's amazing how long it's been going. I'll see how fond of it I am when I go to the airport. There were a ton of canceled flights on Sunday. Christmas should be in July.
Snow hit Chicago, but it wasn't too bad...what was bad was the temperture, which was -6 degrees, with a windchill of -27 degrees . Thought I was gonna die while walking a few blocks to work.
Nice, we got about 20 cm of snow yesterday but I would'nt dream about going in the streets for snowboarding and stuff -Police would stop any fun activities rigth away
Yeah, I live right at the bottom of Queen Anne Hill. It's crazy....the road on the hill was shut down, but the cross streets weren't...you still had vehicles crossing over while people were sledding/skiing/snowboarding/tubing/washbasketing down the hill! I think the police had too many other things to deal with.
yeah it just keeps snowing and snowing. i couldn't get home for a couple days due to the buses not running/half running/running when they can. glad it hasn't been snowing today.
i hear las vegas got hit with some major snow too. i'd be pissed if i had planned a vacation there to get away from the snow and found it waiting for me when i arrived! and i don't think snow is all that fun. shoveling the shit sucks, the carpet of your house is always wet and soggy, i've been late for work a few times over the last couple years from gettting my car stuck in the crap....but then again, i'm pretty pessimistic about stuff...
Yeah we got close to 2 feet of snow the last few days. Yesterday was a complete blizzard with 40 mph wind gusts. I think we're supposed to get more this week, maybe even tonight. My wonderful g/f gave me an early xmas gift of super gortex winter boots (as I walk or ride my bike everywhere in Buffalo) so I'm totally cool with whatever bad storms are coming! Went out last night in the blizzard to try them out. Was fun!
I couldn't believe how many people don't have winter footwear here....well, I guess I do since we get these storms about once a decade. Still....
Yeah, it just stopped snowing here about 40 minutes ago. We just got back from walking over to the grocery store to re-stock our food supplies! I'd say we got 12-14 inches. I tried taking my wife to work, but we couldn't even open the car door because the entire thing is glazed in ice under all the snow. I wish we lived by a good hill to sled/snowboard down...
Great video, Chris. Isn't this crazy? Matt and I haven't even left the house. Unfortunately for me, though, he hasn't done his Christmas shopping yet. If this snow doesn't let up, I may get nuttin' for Christmas.
I'm actually really bummed about this. We are supposed to fly up Friday for Christmas at my parents house in Walla Walla, WA but Alaskaair has said they are canceling most flights to and out of Seattle. My Uncle from Montana has currently been stuck in Seattle for 3 days now. I guess another storm is due on Wednesday so I can get a refund without fee.
Ha, picked the perfect time to move to Seattle! Sarah told me one of her co-workers does'nt even own socks...
Great video . . . we used to have snow like that every year when I was a kid. My lil' guys are 10 & 13 now and all the snow they've seen is usually melted by lunchtime . . . Global warming sucks!
