I just wanted to share what Lee hooked up for me. I don't have a camera so he was nice enough to take pictures. Thanks again to Lee for hooking it up I can't wait to add him to the killer family.
Haha! Thanks all peeps! I just hope Recon digs it when he finally gets it in his hands. It's a "killer" Killer, so it got a skull. I did it the way an old pinstriper showed me when I was a little kid and he was doing a chain of lots of little skulls. Prolly' a little "Western Vinyl" for this crowd, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to bust one out. I can't take credit for the colors as the purple was a request and I went w/ a complimentary color for the skull to pop it a tad. So it's a collaborative effort that I think turned out rather striking. This Bwana figure rocks however and if you don't have one you need to go get one for the collection. I'm sorry to see this one go as it'll leave a "killer" shaped hole on the shelf it's been occupying. Thanks again Recon! Fun project.
you totally nailed it with this one! as always, you eye detail is amazing, and i love the placement of the skull. all the splatter everywhere makes this piece so busy, it is definitely one of the better killer customs i have seen....
Yeah I usually use the splatter to transition colors vertically down an upright figure. In this case it was just layers of color playing w/ the way the metallic ones caught the light. And to soften the skull a bit. Thanks gents, ah… an you too Andrew! It's pointless to tease him. He's at the beach by now (sigh).
Lee, I'd love to see more Killer figures from you! And maybe even without the skull and crossbones thingy. Beautiful!
