...replaced by a trio of shops: Kaiju-Taro, Gomu-Taro and Odoru.

    http://www.kabushikigaisha-link.com/index.php

Gomu-Taro is like Mandarake Micro. They just stocked a huge supply of Baikin Gundam keshis... along with other weird vintage knick-knacks. This is bad bad bad.

I can't really tell what Odoru does.

In other news, I hope they still plan to ship the stuff I bought from KT earlier this week...

yeah, this is odd however the Kaiju Taro "section" seems to be the same, just different look and feel. What I'm wondering are the prices. Let's see if they go up or stay about the same (i.e. reasonable).

    Love the new I FART A LOT paint-ups :D

Gomu is Engrish for "gum" and pretty much means "rubber" (you can even use it as a slang word for condoms if you are so inclined). The Japanese word for eraser is "keshi-gomu" or "erasing rubber", so it would make sense that they are focusing on the same stuff as Mandarake Micro.

Odoru is a bit more difficult to pin down, but it looks like they are focusing on selling logos via consignment. So, you create a logo that a company might want to use, they list it on their site and sell it. But there's also a bunch of other stuff on there, like toy robots and Obama posters, so I have no idea what they're really going for. And how that fits with their name ("Dance"?) I really don't get.

It just change which is alway different - Spices it up a bit

I like the new KT site since most of the sold out items are no longer posting in most of the categories which always confused me....which means less time for me to have to glean over stuff they may or may not have restocked...hope they keep it this way

I miss the old site already. Used to be nice to go root through the old company sections at toys that were sold out and you could mark (even though 9 out of 10 times would never come back in ever). Besides if you were debating about a toy you could always count on going to KT and seeing a clear concise pic of it instead of the blurry out of focus YJA auctions/mandarake pics!

Boo! Hiss... we kaiju collectors have serous OCD.

This is why I spent some time, in January, grabbing and archiving images and toy information.
I figured it might disappear, and it was such a great resource.

Didn't Taro sell/leave KT a few months back? Guess the new owner(s) left the site as is for a while & then decided to update.

Update sucks. I too enjoyed all those toys from the past.
    Oh well.

    I think they have a "sold-out" gallery.

Very very smart of you. Damn, I miss those photos already. That was such a good resource. Although, I guess now my endless, sometimes random, clicking on sold out figures just to see what they are, will be limited.

I'm really disappointed the old stuff is gone. So much fun to look at.

While I'm here, did anyone else put in a pre-order for an X-Plus "Space Cyclop" from them? They said it was supposed to ship in February and I never got the shipping invoice. Just wonderin'.

Also I just realized that KT was a last resort for translation on YJA! You could look up sold out items and still flip from english to japanese and cut n paste the japanese characters. Can't really do that now unless the item is in stock.

So, is the random lucky mini cat for any Real Head purchases or just ones that get the larger cat?
