Hello to the Skullbrain Crew... I wanted to post up a few of my new stone pieces & see what your thoughts were. I just showed a bunch of these recently in boston & I think i am going to mess with more of them.. I thought maybe some folks on here may be into them & others may have some constructive feedback. Thanks, MCA
They look really great...though it's hard to really get an idea of the actual pieces by these pics. Do you have any that show them not quite so close up?
I was going to say...it must be MCA because those were the pieces I saw FRiday night! We were at the opening
Hey, This is MCA. When i made up the Skullbrain account way back i had just started a blog called: Forever Fifth Grade & liked the name, so i just used that... Atease. what did you think of the show?
the first pic is great It would be cool to have a stone path with these in the yard that I don't have
Slack! What up!? Those are great to see... Glad you still have em. I'm still working on getting the WZRD Crew figures going.... soon, soon http://www.wzrdcrew.com Hope all is well w/you what do you think of the new stone stuff?
the show was cool. i enjoyed seeing your work, and the other artwork was pretty intense as well. very...er...sexual to say the least. it was also nice to see the way they have changed that gallery. we went to the first opening there and it was very different. the new setup allows a better appreciation of everything.
SLACK, glad you dig em.. I'm working on some new ones this week.. -yea, the WZRD figures have been in kind of a holding zone for a bit, but i hope to get it kicked into gear soon... ATEASE, Yea, Gallery set-up is much better now.. Magmo's work is wild, you can see more at: http://magmo.typepad.com/magmo_the_destroyer later. MCA
Congrats on the Show and those stones are awesome. I sandblast on glass, actually just the drawing and cutting on buttercut and then guide the blaster how I want it carved. Never thought to do it on stones though. Great concept.
Lamour, nice! i didn't know you sandblasted, any pics of stuff online? I never have done glass or plexi, i was gunna mess w/it actually - only stone & wood so far.. thanks Future Man! Lucid Monkey, just rubber....
