Thanks Mark. I hate those "mail" links.....my computer isn't set up for it. I am probably way too late anyhow. <---------EDIT: I stand corrected, still available I guess
That chrome plating is gorgeous but it has me worried. Even their disclaimer has me thinking twice about it. 16290 yen including shipping =
got one, the price is the same that the first premium, the abs body and maki paint make it dearer to produce
fuck it, just the paint job it's premium !!!! soft vinyl body means bad things about 1 year, but why not abs, at this price it's just a steal
Really torn on this one. I love the figure, but after reading the disclaimer I'm not sure I want to drop ~$180 on a figure that's going to be a total quality crap shoot.
i'm confused...is the same process used for the Chrome version that was used on the Premium Black? All I know is that I saw the Premium Black in person and it completely looks better than I thought it would.
I like how SB's "premium" stands for more expensive iffy quality control version. I would have got these chromed out ones but don't like flocking, on Xmas trees or toys. Glued arms and plastic Vs. Sketchier paint and vinyl, I suppose you can always re-glue a plastic non moveable arm but it would be a I FART A LOT to re-chrome a soft vinyl that is flaking.
unless i missed something iv never heard/read a complaint about the other premium RI. (besides a broken arm which does suck so ill give u that but) the plating is amazing. id be really suprised if it ever cracked or anything, its COMPLETELY different from the other chromed stuff iv seen. no comparison whatsoever imo.
I'm not basing it on anything other than the fact the company feels the need to put that disclaimer up. it's enough for me to be over it.
I think the disclaimer is a bit strongly worded. I agree with SK, my NYCC is perfectly fine. I think it's more of a general "don't play in your sand pit with these" kind of warning. I wouldn't let it put you off getting it.
I would take that a step further and say you are a fucking moron. I lucked out big time as it was a super clean break and it looked as though they were only help in place with super glue anyway. You'd never know. I didn't do it, my drunk mate did it.
hey.. i never made claims otherwise! really hoping this figure is like the first premium (nice!) then the previous silver chrome sb figures (not so nice)
little guy showed up today... hairline cracks on the head, but no flaking... my thinking is that the cracking that sb is talking about on the disclaimer is due to the factory workers having to assemble the figures... im sure this is where the cracking originally takes place, the body of the figure looks awesome... my arms show no signs of cracking or textured paint... then again u dont really have to put a huge ammount of force to get the arms into the torso... and for all i know these are abs like the first premium... the head has trxtured chrome somewhat, or it formed the texture when they were assembling either the head to the bandana, or the head to the body... the toso has much less signs of cracking/texture then the head, but it mostly is on each side of the torso... not really in the front... i think its pretty decent, and honestly dependig on what color the vinyl/abs is underneath, might not look so bad if it does start to flake later in his life exsistense on my shelf hehe.
