Holy schmoly! Now the excuse that "its from my spare change" will never work on wifey if she ever finds out.
I use the reverse psychology with my g/f, I say: "wow look toys you think are little plastic pieces of crap really only go up in value, and one day many years from now we will go around the world on the sale of them..." although I have no intention of selling
My only promise is that our house will never sink under their combined weight. Unfortunately I would imagine that the loss on new vinyls absorbed any excess on the tins and die-cast.
Except that so much diecast went for pretty low prices. Not sure about the tin...I wasn't there that day.
Has everybody been contacted yet ? Still no email from Morphy's and I am 100% sure I won one of the auction...
i got my invoice, but there didn't seem to be anyway to pay online or with a credit card? I don't think I even own a checkbook anymore.
Congrats to Mark K on the Black King, that is a nice one. And yes, I am the one to blame for the Peguira, I am surprised no one guessed. That said, the person who won the King Bockle for 2100 clearly got the best deal of the day. I won a few of the other Ultra Leo kaiju as well.
From the invoice I received, it says: All Paypal payments need to be made to: info@morphyauctions.com
i was thinking the same thing. i figure i will just give them a call and pay by credit card. or maybe go the paypal route.
No I bailled after a while on that . I won the nyarome in the tin airplane, osumatsukun wind up, parman tin plane and some sunguts yokai vinyl lot.
really great to meet you in person mark. you look like you made out like a bandit. figured it was either brian or mike on the king bockle and pegila . post the pics of the nyarome and other stuff you won kr . i would have to say you are a direct influance on me bidding and winning the nyarome saucer.
my cheap score of the day was this mr peanut advertising figure that actually grinds peanuts into peanut butter. this was in one of the cases in the store and not part of the auction.grand total was 12 bucks.
Yes. The words "BLACK KING" in marker in English. One or 2 other vinyls also had writing but I forgot which and did not take note. Someone will be quite surprised when he hets his wins
If it is one of the vinyls lots that I won, I will be pissed. That should have been disclosed. That factors into the value of the piece and whether certain collectors would even want the piece. I know I would have not been bidding on that black king which may have saved you money in the long run. Still a beautiful spray job.
Unfortunately, just in bags in a locked, windowed closet. The diecast pieces were in cases, but not really displayed, and the tins were displayed really well.
