Got this my last JP trip. I saw it on the first trip and decided I couldn't live without it a second time. It's the largest Bullmark I've seen of him yet. It's on a string with a metal ring so it's made to hang up. Any bigger? let me know!
what. the. hell..... oh paul. you're killing me over here...and here i thought i had the set. I rationalized not needing the figures on the card, but this.... incredible.
S'ok Ed....when I originally saw this this on Paul's flickr when he got back, that was my 1st time seeing it as well. I had no idea it existed.
That is awesome! I need a supersized Sea Cucumber man. Hang on, let me rephrase that. Oh, never mind.
I've seen the other companies that have put out some type of a full size, but a bullmark full size? does the cucumber man exist in that size? how tall is that Paul? That is one insane figure Paul. I'll go home tonight and stare at my set and imagine them all full size. what is he standing on? it looks like a dock, but I'm wondering if it's a sushi serving platter
if i had see that on my last trip to japan, there is no way i would have been able to resist it. freaking awesome.
It's packed away in Dan Diego right now. The fig is about 5 inches tall sans log. The sculpt is identical to the mini size. He is standing on a log table. The card on the back has him sawing the log in half, it's faded but really cool art. This was buried in a case in Nakano, so it really does help to know what character to ask the shop owner for!
Hey Paul, I don't know if you're interested in the show, but the Kure Kure Takora dvd set (260 episodes) was released in Japan. I believe they have a set a Jungle in Little Tokyo. This place is also offering them as well: http://brutallo.com/kure.html
Nice find Paul. I found this pic of one on flickr. The description for it makes it sound like it could be a bootleg not a Bullmark. Either way it has a great expression. No info on how tall it is but it could be a board member that owns this one and he may have more info on it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/67896537@N00/422125574/
I have this one. I believe it was made by Biliken it stands about 8 in tall. I have a chombo that is about the same size made by Kaiyodo. The strangest ones I have (chombo +kuri) are about 3 in tall w/pull strings that makes them vibrate.
takora question for you folks. i won an auction for a set that had all of them still in bags. i sat down over the weekend and opened up the last two, monro and chonbo. monro is pristine...like it was made yesterday. definitely my favorite of the bunch. chonbo...well..it seems like his belly is a bit brown. my question, is this normal? i don't know if it's spray or if it's mold. it seems like a light brown film which makes me think spray but i just wanted to check before i put him out on the shelf.
Maybe some sort of reaction from the years, you never know. Chemicals is chemicals. I still need to get all the minis. That's cool you have all of them, the one I have I'm aching to de bag but I wont. Well maybe not yet. monro is the green dragon right? All I had seen in Japan look like new.
I just de-baged my green guy tonight. like you said, just like it was made yesterday. Great. It was kinda hard to de bag, but I really couldn't appreciate it fully until opened.
Chonbo is the yellow/brown squash guy. I think it looks like paint, but I just wasnt sure. I washed him gently with a cloth and mild soap but it didn't do too much. Monro is the pink walrus. She's the heartbreaker of the group The pink vinyl is really crisp in color, and the joints are still tight. It literally looks like it could have been made yesterday. It was a tough decision to de-bag, but I already had 3 others un-bagged and it was too hard to see them just sitting on the shelf suffocating
Got this marvelous MIB mini Bullmark Kure Kure Takora last week - it is such a cutie! I'll also post scans of the header card as it has wonderful and pristine graphics on both sides.
These are some great Kure Kure guys. I also didn't know they had them that large Paul, but I can see the price was equally substantial...ouch!
