Since round 2 about to start I have to say...Let's Go Red Wings! With the Shark Tank being so close I might have to try to go to a game.
I'm rooting for the Canadians to beat the Capitals and then the Pens! I hope saying this doesn't hurt my chances in the kusogon lottery.
I am cheering for teams that I don't want to advance. It seems like the teams that I want to win never do.
All I've been doing is watching the playoffs and Lost. Here's my take so far: not surprised the Bruins beat the Sabres. I can't believe the Caps let the Canadians back in it after that amazing overtime game 2. I hate the Pens and it looked like the Sens were going to make it to game 7 but they choked. Can't believe NJ?! Flyers look dangerous. In the west Detroit will crush SJ and I'm so glad two teams I love Chic and Vancouver are still in it. Most amazing game yet was Chic vs Nash game 5! Kane! No matter what the west will win it! I say Det or Chic vs Caps or Bruins.
Oh yeah, Det. vs. Bruins, an original six showdown. As good as the B's have played lately, I'm still not confident they have what it takes to get to the final round. There were some silly turnovers in that last game against Buffalo. It pains me to say it, but thus is the life of a Bruins fan. What is with the Caps though. I did not foresee that series going seven games.
Aiight, this is kinda relevant...but absolutely fucking hilarious: http://985thesportshub.cbslocal.com/201 ... k-edwards/
A total downer for sure considering he was their leading scorer this season. But "Savvy" is back! The emotion after his OT goal Saturday was priceless. So pumped!
leading scorer for their season doesn't always translate to a scorer in the play-offs. Sharks are a great example of that. Still...Sturm is a great loss the the Bruins and I guess Savard is happy to be playing again...not sure what gave that away. Perhaps the look on his face when he scored the game winner...not a Bruins fan...just a hockey fan play-offs are really exciting this year. I'm not sure who will be in the finals.
