Linus really ought to have his blanket. I could give a crap about Peanuts, but they are beloved and have a lot of merchandise, so I suppose I would rather it come from a company like Medicom that has good QC than some thoughtless maker of junk. I just wonder who will buy them, as I don't know of anyone who like Peanuts in particular, let alone in the expensive import toy buying community. Is there a Peanuts following in Japan?
Peanuts is extremely popular here, my train station had a peanuts cafe until they tore down the whole building to remodel. And there was the huge Snoopy store in front of Harajuku station for years.
Oh yeah, yellow hair... Linus usually wears the red shirt though. Well in that case, Schroder really ought to have his piano.
I remember seeing that place 10 years ago and being amazed that there was a giant peanuts themed store! Sucks to hear its gone. phil
Yah, Snoopytown is like on the 4th or 5th floor of Kiddyland....its still pretty cool to have the entire floor devoted to Snoopy and friends
Kiddyland was one of my favorite stores. Just pure chaos with crowds! I love these toys btw. How can you not?
How long ago was snoopyland there? Kiddyland was amazing, I was there at christmas time a few years ago. Picked up all kinds of random crazy things. I agree the peanuts toys are great, I now I won't spend US medicom prices to get them though.
My wife designed one of the ties they sold at Snoopyland in Harajuku. Too bad I never wear ties (it's sitting in a drawer).
That's the Dark Horse one, right? I remember seeing those sets earlier in the year, but they never came out. I'd love to get my hands on those and this Snoopy. Love me some Peanuts (the comic, I'm allergic to the food).
these are rad..but i bet for the price of a few of these you could build a giant collection of the ones Playing Mantis made..and the quality of the ones they make are nice..easy to find in cvs or ant local drug store usually
There are so many Peanuts figures already out there it's mind boggling. It is cool though, that they made an old school Snoopy.
i would have been into these if they were the very early dopey looking versions of the characters.. honestly the sculpts on those cheapo ones put out stateside a few years back at drugstores & target are more on par. i read about medicom doing peanuts awhile back and got excited but for me these are a let real down. maybe they will do those old school ones yet. the vintage 'nuts figures rock!
I personally love these and think the compliment vintage ones well. Also distracted by medicom prices though.
