This is my favorite sculpt, next to the classic Bullmark/M1 version. How many versions/color variations of this guy are there? I have the GID, and I just got the lucky bag green/teal version.
^that's a beautiful hedorah! there's this set, which looks amazing: rest of the line is discussed in the marusan m-pop thread.
these came bundled with a vinyl i bought. if your interested in them coop, just shoot me a pm, and i'll give you deal.
Hmmm, maybe I should offer to trade the Hedorah poster for Hedoral vinyls... The drawing was based on the Marusan sculpt, after all.
i think Grumbletoy has the Hedorah sets as well as Toy+Life. Also did you airbrush the colors on hedos body in that print?
someone had me paint one of those unpainted yellow (sorry abe ). i still have to finish up one more then i can send it out to him and post up everything.
It is GID. I was just looking at these on CT the other day. Love those glow versions. http://www.clubtokyo.org/listings/itemListingRpt.php?catID=1&subCatID=23&contentID=1558
I just checked out your photos of the Hedorah poster on your Flickr. You should make a GID version. Then a black light version (you know like those stoner posters they had back in the 70's). Very nice.
C - just blew a collector's nut over that hedo print. Ya gotta do something with that so those of us with some cash to burn can throw it your way
i think the poster looks better then the sculpt. Always thought the sculpt lacked a bit. There has been endless variations of this one.
for marusan, i always liked this sculpt a bit more. the new clear one will be really cool http://www.clubtokyo.org/listings/itemL ... entID=2195
Yeah, I think that newer original Marusan sculpt is "better" in a lot of aesthetic ways. The sculpt is sharp and definitely more monstrous because of the asymmetry and more realistic look. But it's only a couple years old, right? There have been about eleventy-billion new Hedorah toys in the last several years...I didn't even bother picking this new set. Ah, but the classic Marusan sculpt is just iconic. Much like their classic King-Goji sculpt. My favorite part is the sculpted detail of those eyes. Sheer brilliance. I have the blue-spray GID version...a gift from Jim at Morphy's last November. A great toy I'll always cherish!
So it it okay to sell non-toy stuff on the board? I was going to put up a thread for the print, but I don't want to be a jerk.
