Did Glenn draw the pumpkin dude then? I know a lot of the misfits stuff was just taken from other horror movies and shit. I'm jealous of every damn one of you that got some fresh pus that day.
Curious..... is this....https://www.toytokyo.com/shopping/index ... ct_id/7948 the same as the orange one on the right or is the one in the picture more marbled
^^^ i think they're the same one, it does look marbeled. i can throw up a pic of mine when i get home from work?
the new dr. mortality is marble too. I thought it was paint until i turned him upside down..and the general public can even purchase one! lucky gd bastids
So what's everyone's thoughts on Pushead having a secret event? I've heard some comments of, "I'll sell everything I own pus" from some people, and others really don't care. I actually thought this whole talk of a secret event was bs to mess with newcomers.
If I wanted to buy Pushead stuff I would be disappointed in his decision to sell things this way. But then, they are his creations and he can choose how he distributes them. It's no different than Anraku. But I don't really care because I don't like his toys.
Pus does what pus wants. I would definitely attend if invited. He can't please us all and are you going to fault him for that? love, Alex SELFISH PUS PLUG WHO HAS A ROCKET PACK TO TRADE ME??? ok good talk.
He switched the annual big release to NYCC this year. In the meantime he decided to meet with a few fan/friends at SDCC and treat them to something special. What's the big deal?
Wish I could make it to NY this year... We're hitting kill devil hills, NC to celebrate my best friends birthday, my wife Sheila. NY is already in the cards for 2011 though. I can't wait to meet the SB crew that will be inside the machine either. And i cant wait to meet Pushead. (if in fact he's going in 2011.) Far as the vip only skeletal showcase event....The invited have obviously built relationships with pushead over a period of time. Their collections echo years of appreciation and dedication. Sure i wish i could go.. Im just happy for those that scored and am having fun enjoying the pictures. (Astro-Pirate mash up, FTMFW!!!) It seems though, (from what ive heard from people) pushead takes care of, or tries to take care of all of his fans at these events. Like the toys or not, you can't hate on him for that..
Well that's nice then. Obviously I don't keep up on Pushead stuff, but I guess I thought he had changed the way he distributed his toys to combat flipping? I've heard nothing but good things about him from the few friends I have who personally know him.
So is $1000 for a HSP a flip price or direct from Pus's hands price? (that's avg. ebay price..) I have 4 of the SDCC standard pushead releases. I got them all on skullbrain sales threads. So that means that ~someone~ had to get up early, wait at the door, sprint across the hall, wait in line for 2 hours, and then grab what was available. And then a couple years down the road they sell their treasure to me who never had to leave the comfort of his couch. Square deal... plus I save gold ingots on airfare. (the SDCC releases were SDCC EXCLUSIVE releases right? ) Here is the gripe. We are from Texas, Zorlac was from Texas, Show Texas the love Texas Showed you! San Antonio Comic Con next year! (yeah right...) ((not to mention we don't have to look at the VIP booty, we asked..))
HSPs were sold as part of the black unknown skullpirate release which were like $165, so yeah $1000 is quite a flip Now if you are talking HPs or Stippled, then that is a little different
so am I... I can't roll like the folks who scored last week, but I def. would have liked a shot at those marbled pirates.
I have an idea on how much an HP pirate cost based from my personal score..but just wondering, did those Pus items came with a relatively higher or lower prices compared to the one's offered at SDCC from the previous years. Since the pieces last week were offered privately in a room with a few loyal collectors and friends? I was thinking, Pus did some price adjustments, minus the convention fees and some other expenses.
I wasn't invited to the party but didn't go to SDCC anyway. If Pushead only had time to make a handful of HPs and went to SDCC on a smaller scale it makes sense to not get a booth and just invite friends or whatever. The HPs, and stippled HPs I've seen (or seen in pictures) look like they require a lot of work. It must be absolutely bizarre to be an artist and see people claim ownership over you then gripe over prices. Expecting him to personally paint stuff, do it very cheaply, spend hours signing things, then attack him if he simply can't do it this year seems a bit petty. He's actually done that stuff for years on the West coast. Maybe he can't do it twice a year and feels the other side of the USA might deserve a little attention. If he prefers a change of scene to Manhattan this year its probably for a good reason. Unless he sends me hate mail or does something else beyond the pale I'll continue to support him and buy his art when I get the chance.
