Great post ElvisFromHell, but I must say, I find this a very strange thought.

Collecting toys is a hobby for people with a certain amount of disposable income. It's not like people are posting pics of food on a board dedicated to world hunger.

My attitude is that I will never have everything that I would like to have, especially when it comes to this hobby. So, I try and appreciate what I am lucky enough to track down but I also enjoy seeing what others are able to collect. My collection will never be like theirs and theirs will never be like mine. It's nothing to get upset over. If other people's feelings get hurt over seeing pics of your collection, that's their problem.

Either that's a healthy attitude or I'm an insensitive prick. You make the call.

I'm looking at COOP's pics and I think the black two-faced Nag is my favorite. weird b/c I don't dig black vinyl most times, but this one really gets me. anyone get any good news?

any 2 skullbrainers with a heavy collection could look at each others collection and find something they really like but probably would not be able to find, thus by sharing pics we can all enjoy one big hippy free love collection 'nuff said
(albeit you can not get much from sniffing a picture)

Exactly.
And I was under the impression that certain people didn't post photos of their collection not out of fear of being accused of "bragging", but out of a desire for privacy and not being pestered by people wanting to buy prized pieces of their collection. If it's because of the "bragging" issue that's a real shame...I'd LOVE to see pictures of those sorts of collections! Actually, it's a shame they need to keep it under wraps in order not to be pestered about selling the stuff.
How about a rule that if someone posts pictures and explicitly states NOT to PM them, and someone does PM them it's an automatic ban? Will that get people to post their amazing collections? No?

1. I'm glad Coop posted his pics - otherwise we'd never get to see all three together, and never see a version which is a one-off.
2. I've posted pics in teh past and had the odd PM from people - and personally it's not a big deal. Do people really get inundated when they post pics of rare/sought after toys? Never happened to me.
3. I mainly hesitate posting pics these days, because a. a small minority of folk get a bit bent out of shape when they see certain toys posted and I can do without the negativity, and b. I have one-offs given as gifts and it seems like a private thing between the parties involved. Just my opinion. I'm happy to show them to people who visit. Weird thing is, I would MUCH prefer people who get amazing items to post 'em up for all to see like Coop did. Especially in this case it's totally legit to post IMO - he did a ton of work on this release because he love's these toys and got a couple of toys in return. Thats grassroots and rad!

Regardless of "collection posting etiquette", some "internally famous" collectors need to take anger management classes before they move on to training in tact and savoir-vivre. But then again dudes cycle of prima dona outbursts does keep me entertained.

COOP did the art for the packaging, it probably would cost more than the toys he received to commission and pay cash for the work. Actually it might not since price they seem to bring on the secondary market is so high (and there are one offs) but he doesn't sell them.

The attacks really do look like sour grapes injected with a huge dose of jealousy. The man has a lot of talent, the work he turned in is excellent. There doesn't seem to be secret handshake stuff going on with toys that are called "COOP" runs.

Its not about being "sheeple". I haven't got a single one of these things and could easily have bought a flipped one from other runs but the prices don't make sense. Pictures are the only way to see what the new COOP run looks like.

He has every right to be proud of his work and share a picture of what he earned in return for it.
