I've been getting vintage kaiju books off yja and the new S7 mag. And coming from a new jack vantage point, its great to see where stuff like pipe cleaners in the arms came from as well as "traditional" color ways. It's easy to hear "oh thats a plant walder color way" and be all "oh ok its some old toy" but to actually see the toys makes a huge difference. Would it be safe to say that one Astro Mu guy is a serioius influence on the Skullbrain (I just got the Mook so I don't know his name).
yea, super pumped to hear that a reissue set is in the works! any details yet? all five plus devil bado? standard or minis? ... either way, i'm ready!!
really bad pic of my astro mu minis . some of the bad guys are in this shot but i have a hard time remembering which ones came with the capsule robo g and the ones that came with the tekkaman jumbo .didnt the pegas jumbo also come with mini vinyls ? think there are some color variants with mini villians .
Cool.....I still need the 3-eyed Green Villan you have dubs of ....cept in Black....Im glad mine went to Ramos....but I still havent replaced it !
Seeing Brians recent sales thread made me look for more Astro-Mu stuff. Found this. It's so amazing!!
Who doesn't love Astro-Mu? I hate to part with any of it, but luckily these were the doubles I had built up over the last few years. I will just have to start building up parts new again!
I only regret never buying them when I had the chance years ago. Luckily I have forced myself to focus on less difficult things to locate MIB.
http://toyboxdx.com/brog/?p=6576 How topical. This is when we were at Warren's house last time. Just posted this today without knowing Brian posted a sale page.
I have all six in regular bodies and then four of the six on missile firing bodies. I still need a missile firing Mars-Man and a missile firing Devil Bado. Almost every figure I have has been made up of building the figures one part at a time. One glove here, one torso there, etc. Very rarely do they show up complete (much less boxed unless you are warren). Astro-Mu is the ultimate study in patience.
I love that it takes so much time Brian. Astro Mu seems to be a great way to achieve a zen-like attitude towards this hobby. Or a quick way to drive you insane.
I have to stop searching through old threads, I keep coming across fantastic things I want to get. Man ... I want these BAD!!
I see lots of parts I could use in that pile. That's SO amazing! Here's a few of mine... Always a thank you to Brian for causing all this interesting stuff to be known
