You might want to try TieGuanyin too. Very good. Btw- the "pulled tea" is always brewed using black tea leaves. Strong with higher caffeine. @Melvegas- goes really well with roti prata, I might add!
Ti guan yin is one of my favorites, just not top three. As much as I am a Chinese tea snob I love trying any tea or tisanes. I don't think I will be finding any pulled tea around here though.
New one I tried lastnight, Hibiscus Breeze: However the grand shou '97 pu-erh remains my favorite so far
Great thread! I like a nice bit of green and oolong! Also like earl grey and mint, but only really get these when I do Mac IT for a friend! Will definitely pick up some coconut next time I'm out...
It's so odd, today I finished off a box of black tea. It was the tea that sbbenhcs designed the packaging for! This afternoon I went out and bought a can of Republic of Tea's Coconut Cocoa Tea. I will come back and let you know how it is. I just love tea and coconut and chocolate - should be yummy.
Didn't realize there were so many options when it comes to tea. The only tea I consume is the sleepy time tea from Celestial Seasonings. I'm sure it's crap compared the the teas you connoisseurs drink but, this stuff knocks me out.
Straight out of the tin, Coconut Cocoa Tea smells good. But I didn't like it. Regardless of how many times I've changed the steeping time, it always tastes like graphite. I love tea: Oolong, Green, Mint, Earl Grey, Matcha, Chai, Breakfast, ETC. What I drink depends on my mood at the time. Although I don't care for most fruit teas.
My wife works in a tea shop in Lake Forest, IL (way the hell out there), they do green tea and man it's insane how different it is for the different styles. Good stuff though, supposedly the best in the US. Oh yeah, it's called the green teaist.
Older pic of some Pu-erh drinking after consuming many Oolongs. The pot currently on the ocean is my Pu-erh pot.
