The pilot ace gojis are killer. I wish I had gotten the mothra goji before they went the way of the dodo.
My two current favorite Gojis- Vintage Beetland lamp- love the sculpt of this guy, pretty similar to the giant size Popy version. Toygraph 54- Love the goofy face on him. This one's a little different than the one alifeintoys posted earlier, black vinyl metallic blue/gold spray with glow eyes and spines
Wow that lamp is really cool. Never saw that before. At first I thought it was a Giant Popy version rigged with a light....
I know we've discussed this before, but that lamp's actually licensed, right? And, yeah, that Toygraph sculpt is killer--I love the set with that one and the mini Dr. Serizawa!
thanks, yeah it is a licensed product, the company made a ton of random crap in the 80's, (Banks, phone rests, toilet paper dispensers)
Thanks Jeff, yeah there is a phone made by the same company thats a modified version of the lamp. They also made a bank apparently. (Image from clubtokyo.org)
I wonder if anyone on this board won this bank? I had been watching this get re-listed without bids so I bid low thinking I could steal it (lost by 180 yen!! the close ones hurt the most): http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k135341013
Here's the king that rules this house Stacked up against standard Gigabrain & chunky Pilot Ace sculpts, you can see he's big'un The top of my wants is dominated by his long lost twin, but it seems that it's pretty much unobtainable the only one I've ever seen belongs to a friend of mine with his mind set on torturing me with never relinquishing it from his grasp
Amazing find! Most people I've spoken to about the toy have never even seen it in blue - but literally nobody has ever seen it in red except me & it's owner I've been searching for almost 2 years now, and haven't even found so much as a photo other than the ones I took myself I wish somebody had more solid info on it.
I just recently acquired this piece, albeit in a different (and actually preferred) color scheme. Mine has some paint rubs, but its fantastic. I instantly fell in love with it.
Favorites were either the H. Gumi or the Buta, but had to sell 'em both... am now looking again. Close second was the goji (M1?) holding hedorah's huevos and third was the half-dressed actor statue. But let's face it, almost all gojis are good, we love what we have and lust after what we don't!
You guys had to talkabout the lamp didn't you? I found one in AZ last year and passed on it cuz the cord needed some work and I couldve gotten it for a steal. Now I'm regretting it again!!
Is that the Bandai translucent grey/glitter GMK Godzilla? And did you put an LED inside him or is that just a light behind him??
Ah, the Marmit! I got it confused in my brain with the translucent grey (NO glitter) Bandai theater exclusive. My boy took one of those and crammed it full of glow gravel...thing looks SICK now!
