Marmit just listed their April pre-orders, I've been hoping they would do this Ultra kaiju: http://www.marmit.co.jp/tuhan2/kt-261a.html Can't wait!
both ear is not big enough, lost the moth look of this kaiju... http://image02.wiki.livedoor.jp/e/n/ebatan/69b7b558.jpg
Their shipping isn't bad for your average retail website. I order from them reasonably often. One of my more recent orders was for the Bullmark reissue GID Zaboga from Wonderfest, and shipping to the US was $9USD. Hope that helps!
Your right. This is one of the few times times where the live action version looks better than the toy.
Sorry to leave you hanging, Tyler. That's actually Takara's Machine Saurer from the Diaclone line. This character was actually the Dinosaur Robos' nemesis (yes, the precursor to the Transformers Dinobots)! Machine Saurer just was never brought over by Hasbro for the TF line. Anyway, I guess Marmit got a license for the character and made this bitchin' vinyl of him! Yes, evil fucking dood piloting the cyborg dinosaur. Sick. He's pretty tall for a standard figure...and now I'm sorely tempted to get a Masterpiece Grimlock to beef with him!! Ahh...toys are good.
Friggin' sweet! Love that there is a pilot; reminds of the great Zoids from the 80s. The icing on the cake would be if he was removeable
I really love parababies too, but these are the only 3 I have. The Guiron is one of my all time favorite figs of any nature.
Parababies are one of the most under-rated toylines. I know a lot of folks aren't feeling them because they're kinda cute and they're only mid-sized, but their sculpting is seriously genius and the size is perfect for that semi-cute format. Steve, that Gojulas is DOPE! I'd kill for a vinyl of him, just like the Machine Saurer...I know if I get the actual Zoid, I'd likely break him...and that's IF I found time to put the sumbitch together!
He's actually called "Neo-Hedoron". Released in 2001. I love the Parababies line. I agree with Sanjeev, this line is very unique in its format. Small and a little kawai, but still in a monstrous way. Marmit really maintained a strong direction in designing sofubi around 2000 when the genre was struggling to survive and had not gained its new current fanbase.
That Neo-Hedoron came in a double-pack with this green Dustman which, in an uncontrollable fit of RFSO, I gave away.
So I've started picking up Parababies as well. It seems like Marmit has basically discontinued the line. Is that true? My favorites are the Captain Ultra figures. Got the ones below recently. I also really like Pestar. I have the blue one. I also got sick of the layout on the Marmit website, so I put together all the pix from the site on one web page.
