Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/27/11 Well when I saw there was color change, I knew many people would try to use it, so I tried to do around 100 pieces that used it heavily... In that way "owning" the finish... Sometimes people use it here and there, but I still feel when people see it used heavily they think of my pieces. I'm actually using it much less, or only in certain places from now on unless requested. As for eyes, and handpainted parts. I use acrylic paint. MK, V-Color, or any solvent based paint just doesnt work...
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/7/11 Foster Why thank you. I've been doing lots of S7 lately. Got some other stuff coming soon!
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/7/11 Foster So are there any Leroys left in the wild not covered in color change flake? The glitter coat is certainly a dramatic effect, but your S7 customs have started to feel kinda redundant.... you've knocked out pretty much every one-note simple spray combo those toys could possibly receive.
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/7/11 Foster I like some sparkle glossy added in with the unpainted and matte finishes - makes the collection outstanding
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/7/11 Foster I do what I do, and use certain techniques because myself, my fans and collectors like it. I'm actually moving into a new direction for me, and easing up on the color change. I personally like it, but I understand it's not everyones cup of tea
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/7/11 Foster Hey Dan, my girlfriend commissioned this piece as a Christmas present and I never got to take a solid photo until just recently. Definitely my favorite Garuru! hope you don't mind me posting it.
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/7/11 Foster Hey, glad you like it. I've actually been hoping I'd get some pics of it eventually... Mind if I swipe these for my flickr?
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/7/11 Foster I'm diggin this new Neo Hawaii color. I think it's the future for Hawaiian spray! Love it!
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 5/7/11 Foster Thanks. I'll going to be doing s few full size Yamo pieces soon. Don't wanna overdo it. But these colors on Gid vinyl is bananas in person. Such rich hues.
Re: D-LuX Customs - Updated 6/7/11 Ok. D, I can totally get behind this one. Both the Zags are nice, but this guy is Rad. Glad to see you changing it up a bit!
