And for those of you constantly bitching about "regular releases" vs. customs, this one-off was actually pulled from the show before it opened, and is being slated for a REGULAR release (bitches)
Whoa great pics, thanks! As usual lots of killer figures. Straight up, I've never been into the camo figures that much. I appreciate the work and skill but maybe I wasn't into Pantera enough? (badum-ching!) That said, for some reason I really like the camo on the crouching mini Hedo and some of those rainbow camo's work pretty well too. Plus nothing says "bitch3s" like "I would like one of those cool 1-off's to be a production run because I can't always fly to Tokyo or San Diego (or anywhere else there might be a show) all the time to drop $300+ on figure not to mention hotels and food and time off work and all." What a bunch of kindergarten babies, who do they think they are?! Buuuuut I guess it's cool that they're gonna make that a production figure. It sucks they're bowing to these whiny terrorists and their whine-demands but still, I gotta say, it's looking good! (leg pulling over, seriously, thanks for the information!) Also thanks to andy and kaijukorner, always fun coverage.
Aw Jeffy o yeah, i know watchoo mean, its nothing like large money droppin outta yer ass for like NagBemonAnrakuZollmen shit ...... I totally get it change jobs ! See the world!!
I like a balance of production and 1-offs from toy makers but I'm not gonna mock those who can only roll with production. That's all I was getting at (Jasony?) I love Gargamel's constant train of 1-offs and at this point they're really not that tough to get anymore since they've done so many shows and there's always a few good people willing to mule. I can totally see how others can't handle it though, whether it's price point or overall hassle of having to fly all over, I wouldn't call that whining or bitching (though I think there is WAY too much of that going around on the board, has been for a while.) I also can see how TOO MUCH of production figures can hamper things for the makers. That's a whole other thread I suppose though. I'm gonna be in Japan (fuggin finally!) in Nov for Design Festa, are you going to be there? Plus toys and "large money" don't drop outa asses, if they did that'd be amaaaaaaazing! Despite their size I'd shit Star Wars 12" vintage. Good ol' karma diarrhea is all I need (did I just turn into a rapper?! "karma diarrhea" sounds like it belongs on snacksandshit.com)
Thanks for the nod, BD. But dude, if this ever comes out of your cornhole, you'll win 2011 Roughage King honors! (Hopefully there will not be a crossbow accompaniment, though not having it would make the expulson incomplete and probably not worthy of AFA submission...) Speaking of cornholes, full Thrashout show coverage is up on KK.
Haha the bowcaster would be the part that'd make it legendary! Though I said it already, thanks for coverage (and seriously and in no sarcastic jest to Jason for the production info on that zag!)
yeeee yah! Jeff, you got no problemo goin big for toys, so no bitchin about 300+ !!! LOL!!! All ribbing aside, I was simultaneously disappointed, and completely pumped that that Zag is going to go into production. Gargamel rules.
Haha dude, I'm not complaining about the 1-off's prices, they're worth it for sure. The Gargamel gang really puts in hard work. I'm sympathizing with those who can't do it frequently or at all and I'm as pumped as they are for that Zag to be production. (LOL!!!11!) It'll be the first Zag I've gotten in a long time. Gargamel DOES rule.
Thanks to B.76, living dead, *and logang1* for the show pictures, looks amazing! i love how there's so many different styles, everything is so striking and bold, and at the same time so different.
Anyone know if all the full size Deathras sold? And how long after a show unsold customs usually go online?
Woah, thanks for the pics Arnaud, Mark and Andy! Love the Helpers and Oh-ho Globby. Weren't they supposed to also release a production run at the show or is it just the standard Hedo? Some questions for people who were there: -Does anyone know if all the pocket Helpers sold? -Did I see in one of Andy's pics that the pockets from the black pocket packs sold for 500 yen each only? -Who can pick some up for me? There always seems to be a bunch of gaijins at these shows... I'm curious, what's the proportion? Same faces all the time?
Did anyone get a closeup of the odoron? Just curious to see what it looks like. Great coverage as always. Bryce
wow, the purple and mint camo deathra and mibora are sooo sick!! I'm kindof glad that those sets of pockets they previewed were just one offs...(or were they??) little less of a let down when there's only one. Thanks for the great pics guys.
Yep the unpainted pockets were listed at 500 yen each. Quite a bargain! The large Hedoran is the only large production figure I spotted for sale. The focus was on customs. The crouching black base with milky white/blue-green spray series were all one-offs. The large Hedoran and (possibly) the Zag they pulled out are production, though, and I bet those will look really nice together.
