It's by Little Nest. They make other, more impressive ones but I doubt my 3 year old would appreciate them. So stuck with the sturdy one.

    hey Dylan,

i'm thinking about upgrading my digital SLR. It's between the 7D like you have and the 600D.

what were the factors in your decision? Besides just being a baller.

    Kirkland,

Some factors that influenced my decision were the following: 8fps, less shutter lag, 100% viewfinder coverage, 19 focus points and better image quality at a higher ISO. Most of the photography that I'm involved in has moving subjects so being able to shoot 8fps makes things a lot easier.

Another reason why I decided to upgrade was because my previous camera was a T1i. The image quality in the T1i was horrible at high ISO's, and there was so much shutter lag.

Which DSLR do you have now? The 600D should be just fine, just make sure you get a decent lens depending on what you plan on photographing. I don't see why you would need the 7D, the 600D is also 18mp.

    Nice score D

Kirkland - I know both models you mentioned have video function.. but if you don't mind leaving video duty to your S95 (or S90? whatever) you might consider a 40D instead. You can save a chunk of change that way, and then put the difference towards a nice lens. I was only able to decide against the 7D after handling my friends for a while, and not feeling enough was different/better to justify my upgrading from the 40D. I dont know if you've had ample playtime with each of the bodies you're considering, but after using a prosumer body I never wanted to touch a Rebel again - but that was just my experience.

Here's some shopping tips from my friend, who's all over Canon's junk

Thanks Jay. I've been patiently working towards getting this cab since the start of the year. Made it happen through offloading some of my toy collection and most of my vintage video games. Finally one dedicated machine with all the classics. I'm very happy  :D

Here are some screenshots i just took. It has a LCD high definition screen for playing current arcade boards. Here i'm using a scanline generator linked to a multi-game board. This replicates the oldschool pixels like on an old CRT monitor.
