So what do we think? Either:
a) Medicom doesn't know this isn't by the nagnagnag guy
b) Medicom doesn't know about nagnagnag and thought this was an original design
c) They know and don't care because they think that it'll sell due to the hype.

I like most of the collaborations that they've been doing with indie vinyl makers and that they're taking chances with new things like Earth Wolf but this is a really weird move.

 

For what its worth:

1. Medicom not know who this is by? Never.
2. Medicom absolutely know about NNN. My assumption is the maker just pictured it with NNN to ride the wave.
3. Medicom put something out purely due to hype? They have an amzing track record, so I can only assume they genuinely like this and want to put it out. I'm not a fan - but as always - one man's meat is anothers poison.

You guys crack me up. I honestly don't think it's too bad (ducks to avoid flying rotten fruit). I love the sculpt on the collar but the overuse of pinwheel texturing bugs me. The expression on the Dog's face is great though, especially when he is looking up at another toy like it is its master. I wont be going after one but I'm not ready to crucify it either. This place is so homogenized that I'm sure no one will admit entering the lottery but that doesn't mean there won't be people out there who are into it. With the looks and wide eyed disbelief that many of the toys on this board would illicit, even from toy collectors from other genres, it surprises me people act like no one should like this.

Not my style but I agree. All politics, context and hype aside, it's pretty rad. I certainly like it a lot more than NNN. (Also ducks flying rotten fruit.)

 

Well since no one is admitting to being the one who made this then it's probably fitting.
