Thanks for the update, Andy. It would be great if they could keep Thrashout open. It's a great store in a nice neighborhood. http://kaijukorner.blogspot.com/2011/10/thrashout-update.html
I posted this over a year ago. Looks like the same one off to me. I WOULD LOVE to see this as a production piece though, or at least this one in my collection Maybe Greg just received him from Japan?
Wish I was a member of the super secret Kaiju e-mail ist. I'm a member of the Mishka e-mail list though.
Damn. I really wanted one of these. Should have been signed up to the super secret kaiju mailing list sooner. Grats to everyone who got one.
ugh i just want in on this whole ghost cave thing ive been digging since sdcc and its driving me crazy... side note totally down for the tattoo if get to see it first
I am really beginning to hate this secrecy and hype. If you are sold out, why not tell everyone what the story is within this thread where you posted a picture? As a zag collector, just having something secret drop with no info infuriates me to no end. I am really beginning to dislike this bs, and really don't believe it is in the spirit of the board where people discuss releases and post information. Sure, you can sell a run of toys by having it limited to 10 or less, and then charging a nice price for it, but when people collect toys for years and suddenly they see a release after the fact, it's going to cause much disappointment too. I guess we are now in the era of micro runs brought by anyone with a wallet and some connections, of course with lots of secrecy and then equal amounts of hype. By the way, as I understand it, for all those lucky enough to pay $375 for this preorder (thanks for the info, KC, again after the sale ended!), Kiyoka painted many of the "standard" releases in the past that retailed for $100-$125. Even the rare release of 30 Kiyoka green and black on gray standard zag, with special cloth bag, sold for what? $250? And everyone had plenty of notice and knowledge of the release long before it dropped. This is blatant Nag commercialism all over again. Can't wait to see these on ebay just in time for Christmas. Thank God there are still retailers (like S7, Bwana, Max Toys, PK and MVH) who think of collectors first, and the dollar second. Congratulations. http://mishkanyc.com/item/zag-gargamel
