It's funny watching you guys simultaneously praise and tell the same person to fuck off, all in the same couple of pages.
got a pink nugget waiting at home, and collection shot coming tonight, cant believe its only been a month since i met Luke, i have already captured many of his pieces i was after, all that is left is US and Unsufes oji and karakuri, but as said above, patience and im sure they will come!
Your clue was given just about exactly a month ago: "These Monster Kara figures are made to order. Figures will ship in 6-8 weeks, or hopefully sooner. The reason for the time frame: the figures have to be ordered from the factory, Luke has to paint them, the prints have to be made, the gnomes have to be fed. You know how this works. Thanks in advance for your patience. " Your bank statement might be a handy reminder or, barring that, wall calendars are often useful when trying to figure out how much time has passed between any given point and now. Google, as well as your browser history, can also be helpful when trying to obtain information of this obscure nature. Thanks in advance for your patience, Mr. Virtue.
. . . alternatively, and I realise this is a pretty radical concept for the NWOSB, but guys could just chill the fuck out and just wait for shit to show up when it shows up.
Okay, so it has now been proven that I don't read so good, I have no clue how I missed that. thanks Tooth. I will quote this thread whenever my reading ability is called into question for now on.. and Andy, I'm sorry that sarcasm doesn't translate well over the intrawebs..
Update on the monster kara's is up on KK. So be patient you still have another month max until these are shipped.
I wondered that too... They were in the September Hyperhobby - shown to be the SUFES release. But I remember Luke saying they were WAY too much work, so they weren't at SUFES... They must be somewhere!
Already shipped to the US, will start shipping out to us in about a week and a half according to Amy.
They are crazy to paint, and you're right, that's why they didn't end up at SF. When Luke offered the few he had online, they quickly sold out, and he didn't want people to feel burned on missing this rad colorway. So he opened up the orders to a ridiculous number, that he then proceeded to paint. I stopped by sometime early last week and he was painting them, which goes with brobles/Amy's comment about when to expect them.
Yeah, I remember thinking when I first saw these that "damn, he's in way over his head with these guys"... they're so sick. You can tell from the Dokugan, it's a really delicate paint job. I'm going to be looking for some when they finally land
I always liked the idea of the rattles using extra flash or a bunch being cut and put into a clear body. This is interesting though.
" Luke pushes boundaries and challenges collectors to stretch their perceptions of toys and collecting."
