Also I have no name yet for this figure and so I was wondering what yall were thinking. If you have a idea, say it and if I like it I will send you one for free. Re: New Savage Freaks WIP (no name yet) Thanks guys! Im working now on more detail. Im thinking about getting rid of the hands and doing something different. Not sure, maybe all new arms and hands @ Axolotl-- I kinda do too. That head is for a "woo" type figure Im working on. When I put it on this figure, it gives it a totally different feel. Almost Wizard barbarian
Re: New Savage Freaks WIP (no name yet) I dig the first picture, but the 2nd picture for some reason, the torso looks pretty lanky and it really doesn't go all that well with the arms and legs. Just my 2c
Re: New Savage Freaks WIP (no name yet) Well I didnt change the torso, but I did change the arms and hands. Im almost done with this guy and then I will post some new pix. Thanks everyone I really do appreciate all your thoughts
New Savage Freaks WIP (New pix, almost done!) So here's an update on this one and I also wanted to share the a little back story back story as well maybe help me come up with a name. Savage Freaks: They are a colony of the worst alien monsters in the universe They settled on our moon to eventually colonize earth and feed upon humans. So the idea for this sculpt is that this is a female alien bio mech beast. She lays her eggs every 24 hours and uses the double sided drill hand to make a nest. Im not sure about the other hand it might be a lazar or I might just make a new hand. Her main diet is Iron from the astroids that pelt the moon. for more pix check http://www.savagefreaks.com DSC01386 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr DSC01387 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr DSC01388 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr DSC01390 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr and just for fun with a different head DSC01403 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr DSC01404 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr

Re: First painted-Still no name (pix at the bottom) I think painted he really comes together as more of a figure and less just random looking textures on the unpainted.
Re: First painted-Still no name (pix at the bottom) Definitely the paint helps it come together. I was worried about the same thing as well. I was kinda scattered creating this one. For a bit I wasn't sure I was going to mold it but then deiced to do it and Im stoked on it. I casted a few more this weekend, I will post pix when they are done.
Re: First painted-Still no name (pix at the bottom) These are amazing, even moreseo painted. I really dig your subtle palette sensibility.
Re: First painted-Still no name (pix at the bottom) Thanks Dean! Im pretty new to airbrushing. I have been looking through a lot of vintage paint apps and trying to come up some cool ways to paint this figure. I did some really cool ones with clear belly and stuff inside. They look pretty cool.
Heres some new pix of the next two I made. More pix at http://www.savagefreaks.com DSC01521 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr DSC01507 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr DSC01503 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr DSC01500 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr DSC01498 by Savage Freaks, on Flickr
When I was sculpting I made the belly like this so I could put stuff in it. Doing this makes the process a two day job tho. Is the clear resin your using a 24hr cure?
