What I don't get is this, I have a pretty good gaydar, I believe people fall in love with people, and not because of gender, but I do think some people are predisposed to males or females. Is it just me or is Jason Russell clearly a gay man, with a child, who's major support, and funding comes from Christian fundamentalists trying to eradicate homosexuality? Invisible Children isn't a fundamentalist Christian organization, they are trying to take down the "Lords Resistance Army". In fact, people like Rush Limbaugh have attacked Obama saying he is behind Kony 2012 in an attempt to defeat Christian forces and aid Muslims even though Uganda is around 80% Christian regardless. Maybe Jason Rusell is a Christian but I don't think he should be grouped in with the likes of Santorum. While I don't exactly buy the stress, sleep dep, dehydrated story it is not unimaginable. The stress of going from anonymous to world infamous in a days time and having the whole world criticize your organization and motives could certainly cause someone to lose sleep and perhaps miss a few meals. That or he likes to party hard and wasn't ready for a spotlight to be on him.

Interesting, I knew there was a reason I disliked this whole topic in general. I am not one to act like I suddenly care about Ugandan children because I watched a FB video, so I have been avoiding this issue for the most part. If you are implying I am insensative, then you are reading to much into my response. There is hardship across the globe and my heart sincerely goes out to all dealing with the harshness of life. I also feel deeply for the plight of animals and our abuses of the physical world. America is a cause of the week culture though and I refuse to be sucked in. Both news and social media bounce between scare tactics and heart string pulls. Everyone cares when it's on twenty minutes until the next episode. I watched the video and that shit is sad and frustrating. But support Uganda or Kony and your not helping out any good guys. I'm not going to plan my charity ( I usually give to bc research for my Grama), actions or talking Points around what went viral this week. The info on this guy only further illustrates my stance. So if I was condescending and uncaring, it was towards mainstream bandwagoning, not the children of Uganda. I have two beautifull children and the thought of anyone's children suffering can easily move me to tears. I give when and where I can but can't afford to throw myself at evey cause. The whole Kony deal is way off my radar and I would rather say so than try and choose sides without any real research on my part. I am more than happy to care for those hurt and sucked in against there will, I don't care in the sense that I'm not ordering bracelets or vowing to repost the Kony video daily.
