Re: Stoner/Doom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q6j9g-17r4 saw these guys last night.. holy crap. two dudes and 4 full stacks with 4 amps powering each. so loud im glad i brought ear plugs my clothes where vibrating when they played.
Re: Stoner/Doom Not too much love for Rwake in this thread, with only one mention by EVOM a while back. If you guys have not heard their newest album, Rest, please do so. I've always really liked them since I first heard their song the Stoner Tree, but this may very well be some of their best work yet. Sitting here in the dark on a cold night (yes, it can get cold in swamp-ass Florida) kind of enhances just how awesome it is.
Re: Stoner/Doom The new High On Fire single is amazing! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44861856/High On Fire - Fertile Green.mp3
Re: Stoner/Doom I'm quoting this because I'm sure not a single one of you fartknockers listened to them. Please do. I'm blaring it right now and I can't wait for the record to come in so I can blare it some more.
Re: Stoner/Doom WOW. Great recommendation Banshee! Definitely going to find an album for myself.. Not sure if they've been mentioned in this thread before, but Belzebong is ruling my world right now. "Acid Funeral" Pretty much a cross-post from the "What are you listening to" thread.
Re: Stoner/Doom Glad you like it, brah. The whole album is really good, I just picked the shortest track for a taste. Will definitely check out Belzebong soon.
Re: Stoner/Doom I think I'm just going to sit in my bedroom, drink beer and listen to metal all day. Like a fifteen year old cool guy. This stuff is quite good on that sludge tip (and a free download): http://seahag.bandcamp.com/ This too. A little less super-slow sludgy, but good all the same: http://snakedriver.bandcamp.com/
Re: Stoner/Doom Conan fucking rule. So ridiculously heavy. http://www.roadburn.com/2012/03/conan-s ... al-hammer/
Re: Stoner/Doom Thanks for posting this as I had written them off. The new one is great. I like actual songs.
Re: Stoner/Doom The Stubb self-titled is pretty good. Check it out for some fuzzy, catchy stoner riffage. I need some recommendations, dudes. Halp.
Re: Stoner/Doom Anyone watch this documentary yet? Not sure if it was posted in this thread or not. Such Hawks Such Hounds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-njKCr6ieKE I was working a street fair today and to my surprise there was a Sabbath cover band performing.
Re: Stoner/Doom Yea, ghostal posted it in here a few months ago, but definitely worth a watch. I was putting up my toy shelves during it, so I'm sure I missed a bit. Did they play Fairies Wear Boots (obviously the best Sabbath song ever)?
Re: Stoner/Doom http://www.southernlord.com/sleep.php do i really need another vers. on vinyl? yes. yes i do.
Re: Stoner/Doom Awesome! However, I like the CD Package's t-shirt design better than the Vinyl Packages. And I want Vinyl.
Re: Stoner/Doom Killer! I have the original press and I don't usually double dip, but I might have to make an exception for that baby!
Re: Stoner/Doom I guess you could get both. The cd package deal is the same amount as a regular shirt. Just think of it as buying a shirt and getting a dead format for free.
Re: Stoner/Doom Can't wait to see them (and Witch Mountain and the Atlas Moth and All Pigs Must Die, etc.) at Scion Rock Fest!
Re: Stoner/Doom Yep, sucked it up and bought both. I've only seen Sleep live once and I'm really itching to see them again! Someone fly me to Tampa dammit!
