I've been full court press into SK T-28's lately, and have become really curious about Gigantor T 28 manga artwork. Specifically this illustration featuring the "Iron Man" version SK has been making and was featured in their first boxed version of the sculpt: Does anyone have it? If so anyone willing to post a better resolution copy of it. I wanted to make a copy and possibly frame it. Also found this cool link to older T 28 illustrations (half way down): http://pinktentacle.com/tag/vintage/page/2/
Re: Shikaruna Koubo Database- updated 2/24/10 That's a nice T-28 And last year's Tetsujin28. Siccaluna's sculpting and painting skills are just amazing. [/quote]
Re: Shikaruna Koubo Database- updated 2/24/10 Pre-order is on Lulubell's site now - "Pre-order open through February 29th at 9am Pacific Time"
Yeah he's a lot smaller than I thought he'd be. In pics he just looked bigger. Standard for sure- 9 inches. Paint application is spectacular as always with Shikaruna. What I would go nuts for is if Shikaruna made a giant scale version of this particular T-28. Say one on par with the Giant M1 sizing (18.5 inches or 47cm). I mean they did it with the Zagoran, so please please one day consider the T-28 (if you read this SK)
Beautiful, really. I've always admired this Kappa sculpt and had to make this my first one. Incidentally, I think it's actually my first Siccaluna Koubo toy too. Now I want to find that black Angry Kappa from Superfestival...
Re: Shikaruna Koubo Database- updated 5/29/09 Had to drag this old pic up.. Maddalla is so damn underated..So crude and lovely!
maddalla rules with an iron fist (very underrated!): I think that new T-28 is the new grey boxed version. SK has them.
Wow! These are stunning! Thanks for posting the photo's.. just noticed, looks like you got the one in the photo jcat..
that's a nice one lixx, is it a one-off? i used to have a glow version like that but it seems yours has a heavier paint application.
Remember my trials and tribulations of getting this from SK? Just prior to the glow Maddalla release they had two limited Special Paint glow versions offered. This was special paint version 1. I think there were 10 of each, but not sure.
Here is the gray T-28 I got yesterday from Shikaruna. Box art is beautiful...did a really nice job on this version. Now I need is the blue color version!
