I can show some of what I think are the diorama sets from online pics, see below. As far as seeing liquidsky's boatload- you have a better chance of hell freezing over than seeing that treasure trove. We'd all love to see it. I think the mini diorama were the ones with the cars? Or maybe the ones packaged in buildings perhaps? See some cool examples below (all pulled from Mandarake's sold out section-as in sold out many years ago): I didn't even know they made Ultra MAT team members!
I have the Ultra MAT figures somewhere (from the S7 sale) and two cop cars, but they have tops, one pink painted and one unpainted. They were sold loose to me by S7 if I remember correctly, I don't have the "convertibles" or the GID? car. The cars are okay, hollow shells, at least mine are, but I always liked Toygraph's racers more.
Car and Kemur it comes with are both GID. Here is a pic I stole years ago from a Japanese blog I think, for reference.
heya, not jack the thread, buuuut I can't find a US toys dedicated thread. search= 'US+Toys', 'U.+S.+Toys' but nothing really. In any case, Im heading to Osaka next week and I was looking at visiting the shop, since I can see on some blogs that some of the other toy shops have closed over the last years, I dont want to trek out to find the place just to have it closed. Is it still open? Same location? Also, Any other shops that I should not miss would be great advice. Thanks for any info, people.
Hey Gatiio, Here you go. USTOYS 25-23 2-chome, Yodogawa-ku, Osaka Tsukamoto 〒 532-0026 TEL 06-6303-0016 15:00 to 21:00 hours Monday Closed ..and http://kaijukorner.blogspot.sg/2009/05/ ... visit.html Hey maybe you can mule for me? I can be your best friend. No, I WANT to be your best friend
Thanks guys. I did check KK, though Andy was the one that mentioned that [some] shops close [during the year] and all. That said, I pester him enough when I go to Tokyo, but I will get a mssg to him. As for muling, send me a pm kurumonz, for sure I can if its something not too big. I have to keep my luggage small, hahha! Thanks for the info. [edit for clarity]
Also, it's Tsukamoto station on the JR line. I'd make sure you call first, I make this a habit, especially with small shops. A lot of the time the people are there just to ship boxes then They go home.
so how many blue giant kanegons did U.S. TOYS release? is there a regular blue version and a gid blue version?
There was a couple releases of the first blue, the first was unsigned and the second round had a signature in the back. I'm not sure how many were made of each though. Do you mean blue glow? Or GID with blue spray? I know there is a gold spray GID and one more at least but don't remember the spray color.
oh i mean a blue vinyl gid version. rotofugi has a sold-out version described as blue gid. and club tokyo has a blue vinyl gid version in their database. if i scored that, i would flip. i know they've released mini blue gid kanegons, so i wanted to be sure as to what's out there.
Gah!!!!!! This is what happens when I try to save money, I totally miss stuff. I never even heard about this!
well i'm not sure if this is just some kind of error. i know a couple guys sold a giant u.s. toys kanegon recently--no talk of it being GID. but yeah, i've seen one described as gid on other sites. it's probably an older release if it even exist at all. i'm hoping there is and that i score it. but it's probably just a mistake. i hope.
G, I have been totally out of it recently with newer releases so it might be out there waiting for you.
