I like how they haven't gone for more predictable colors yet. GID, Black, red (isn't that first more of an orange?) Not that I'm against those, but I like seeing more off versions sometimes. Brown would be kinda cool with this toy or a really dark, dull green. Not neon.
looks like there is a seam at the top of the head. Wonder what it does? Cool looking dino, grats to those who scored it.
Really like the paint on this. It looks like there's no surprise with this one. Another face or a brain carved in where the head pulls of would've been fun.
Boooo! The figure itself looks cool. But that crest above the tongue seems like a wasted opportunity to add something cool. At least some texture, so it's not so smooth. I'm sure there's an engineering function to it to be able to hold the face into place, but still.... kinda anti-climatic?
maybe different faces will be made available episode2.. it seems odd having such a detailed tongue and mouth hidden away
While I do think this toy is great, leaving the area under the face blank seems like a bit of a missed opportunity.
Zollmen messed up. The kana on the foot is wrong. They have the first kana as as パ (pa) instead of バ (ba). And what is with the numbers "2677" on the foot also?
I feel like maybe they just wanted a fully sculpted mouth interior with full teeth and all (not the norm with sofubi) and maybe it wouldnt have been possible to do without the removable face. They could also be planning other face parts like maybe a more open mouthed version or something. so perhaps the toy is not meant to be displayed or viewed much without that piece on. just my opinion.
This is my first post, so please forgive my impoliteness. The number "2672" is the traditional japanese emperor calendar year for 2012, in line with zollmen's conservative/right-wing attitude. IMO the kana spell error is done on purpose, like the vintage toy from Bullmark or similar, where the spell mistakes was frequent.
Thanks for the explanations. Welcome on board. I got my Burstron too, and even if the "no surprise" is a little disappointing, I really like the result of the open mouth with tongue and teeth details. It gives a real personality to the monster. The junction may have been a little more concealed, but I'm no specialist in cast/molds constraints. I think it has a Marine Kong distant likeness too.
Totally agree. I'm a bit on the fence with this one, I kind of like the goofy feel but not 100% convince with the colour way and I wish there really was a second face in there.
