Re: Stoner/Doom That is an awesome find too banshee! Thanks to all you guys for all of the footwork. I'm so busy I never get to really sniff anything out anymore.
Re: Stoner/Doom I was bummed because they're opening tonight at the venue I just saw Graveyard and Red Fang at - and swore I'd never go back to, except to see Ghost in April. But then I just found that they're headlining at a bar just down the street from me in a couple weeks! Really looking forward to it - small little place no bigger than my living room & dining room!
Re: Stoner/Doom ^^nice, I really wish I lived in portland sometimes.. A friend reminded me of the band 5ive last night and I dont think I've ever seen anyone talk about them here, so here's some youtube links.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkinEhBizk0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDUFGFki8Xo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm19nYvvjqQ
Re: Stoner/Doom So decided I'd check out the bands opening for Sons of Huns this Friday and I'm very pleasantly surprised by both. Bison Bison: http://www.bisonbisonband.com/ Ape Machine: http://apemachine.com/
Re: Stoner/Doom Has anyone here heard Beastwars? They're a sludgy metal band from New Zealand. Heavy as hell riffs! I've seen them a couple of times and they don't disappoint! If you're into Kyuss, Mastodon, or just anything heavy and awesome check them out! New albums out soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtOqeCQUN5E
Re: Stoner/Doom From what I remember there was a lot of Clutch in their sound....thinking the vocals. Will have to listen again. And their album had a killer gatefold too. Lately all I want to do is Boogie Endlessly. Endless Boogie - Long Island. So groovin.
Re: Stoner/Doom Ha ha! Yeah... Saw them last night with Bison, Bison and Sons of Huns. Great show! Ape Machine's drummer is a machine. They just kicked off a tour - so if anyone is at all interested and they're coming through your town I recommend checking them out.
Re: Stoner/Doom Gaytheist - Pentagrams are Super! http://gaytheist.bandcamp.com/album/pen ... -are-super Not stoner/doom, but this seems to be the most active thread for sharing "hard rocking" album streams. Didn't someone suggest making a bandcamp thread? Maybe I'll start one...
Re: Stoner/Doom ^That was awesome! Bought the album! Has anyone mentioned Hell III yet? Really good stuff. http://loweryourhead.bandcamp.com/album/hell-iii
Re: Stoner/Doom Yeah, I'm really digging them. Love the song "I Quit" on Rainbows Have Nothing To Hide...and many others.
