Anyone still playing Borderlands 2? They just released an update today that allows your character to level up from 50 to 61 (which is really what most people have been asking for/complaining about) plus a 3rd, more difficult play through mode, new weapons, etc. I'll probably be on PS3 playing as much as possible haha
I finally broke down and subscribed for the PS Plus membership. But man, upon registering, you get 6 free games for the Vita (and Demon Souls is free this month on PS3!) So bought a 32gb card and I downloaded WipeOut, Uncharted, Gravity Rush and looks like I'll have to download Disgaea 3, because its FREE this month too! Downloaded some PSone RPGs (FFVII, Vagrant Story) and some PSP titles (PeaceWalker, Final Fantasy Tactics, Half Minute Hero). I feel like I have a Playstation Power Hub of every system they made in my hands! Still want to check out Rayman Origins, and then Earth's Defense Force, along with Little Big Planet. And Persona 4. So many games! GAHHHH!!!
I guess Disgaea alone could keep you occupied for the rest of your live. At least in the first you could enter every weapon for 100 random generated levels. Every 10 levels the weapon got stronger. Of course you found even stronger weapons in said levels, each offering 100 random generated levels. Every 10 levels the weapon got . . . I am so looking forward to the coming Disgaea featuring the characters from the first.
Yes, I played over 100hrs and then decided to move on... but I do jump into the random levels now and then and once finished some additional levels were revealed, still need to play those.
Completed HarmoKnight on the 3DS today. One of the best games I've played on the handheld since Super Mario 3D Land. Hope it gets a sequel. Now, back to Persona 4! And picking up that Guacamelee on payday!
I got guacamelee and I really like it so far. And I actually did the cross save with ps3 and vita cause my wife wanted the tv. Works great.
I'd say the 3DS is worth it for these three games: Super Mario 3D Land Fire Emblem Awakening Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon And then the eShop will keep you busy in between.
Finished Ninja Gaiden 3 for NES last night, thought I would never get all the way through. 5 continues on a NG game is just cruel.
Its probably been mentioned here but if you havent yet check out "Indie Game: The Move". Its a very well made and it gives a cool insight to how some games are made.
Updated the OP with 3DS Friend Codes. I recently upgraded to an XL and I cannot put this thing down. I'm currently playing a lot of Fire Emblem and Luigi's Mansion and I also picked up SMT - Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, but haven't opened it yet. Feel free to register me to your friends list or leave your code here and I'll update the list periodically.
Anyone hear about this random game about "kaiju"? http://tinycartridge.com/post/48245467243/attack-of-the-friday-monsters-a-tokyo-tale-as
I'm intending on starting Devil May Cry some time this afternoon. I played the demo a couple months back and loved it, so I'm confident I'll find the same in the full game. I also have Silent Hill 2 and 3 HD that I've been putting off, but I'm pretty excited to get my nostalgia on with those, as well.
Yeah, I'm pretty excited about this. I was shocked when Nintendo announced that they were going to bring it over to the US. Can't wait!
Ok...I just picked up Borderlands2 and Dark Souls. I have a feeling they are both time sinks but which to try out first...
I have both and they are great fun, but I am just exhausted of playing FPS. Play DS and when you become irate from all the dying, then you can go shoot some cool looking cell-shaded aliens.
DS is all about patience and timing, dont be greedy and try to squeeze in those hits, get a few and get out. you should be safe and dont have to lose humanity or souls unnecessarily, you'll get the hang after awhile. INVASION is the fun part. This is what im currently playing on and off, nothing beats a fast pace FPS multiplayer!
In my opinion if you play all by yourself with no help at all from friends or guides or the internet then Dark Souls is the most difficult and rewarding game of all time. The atmosphere is bleak and lonely. You'll feel helpless for days on end but that just makes it more satisfying when you get somewhere new or defeat something that's killed you dozens of times. That really only applies to playing blind though.
I felt like this when I played the original Zelda and Zelda: Link's Awakening as a kid. I felt soooooo accomplished after I beat them both.
