Im a huge fan of 300 and Frank Miller, but im not sure if this is gonna work, i mean, after all history says that sequels tend to fuck up good stories.

    Reeks of total flop.

Well, actually not so much if the super fast and furious crowd gets from under their hoods to come and support another shitty, eye candy film.

Who knows? I, for once, think the photography looks dated on the grounds of the 1st movie and it just looks like a 90 min movie based on a spin-off comic.

I'm so looking forward to this film. Btw, Man of Steel is AMAZING! I truly like this director's style.

I thought 300 was the funniest unintentional comedy ever released

Yup, Christopher Nolan has to be one of the best director's ever, still amazed by how the Batman films turned out with his touch.

What? Why would you say that? Take that back

Nolan didn't direct superman. Zack Snyder of 300,watchmen,sucker punch fame(?) did. Nolan was smartly given a lot of power by wb over the dc movies. Cause ,besides most of the batman films, the dc movies kinda suck.

And yes 300 was way overrated and when I saw it on tv last week it looked horrible. HD and all

Who did? Nolan? If so it's probably with his brother and David goyer, who are his usual writing teammates. And Snyder still directed it. I'm envisioning lots of slow motion and a distinct color palette, good looking movie but still lacking something.

Back to the original post, I think 300 part duex is going to suck. And I love me some frank miller (comics) too

I was looking forward to 300 2 until I thought about it more. Someone else directing and trying to make it look like Zack Snyder directed it? No thanks!

    Could use more slow-mo...

Speaking of slow-mo, did anyone watch DREDD? It was badass.

Sorry, I wanted to like it, I thought at the very worst the cinematography would hold it together.

I laughed through most of the movie, as did others in the theater.

Great film. Wish I could've seen it in the cinema but the local flea pits weren't showing it in Japan.

A damn shame a sequel has been ruled out because of poor box office takings. Awful marketting- Nobody outside of the Dredd fanbase is going to see any movie called 'whatever 3D'.

the new 300 looks like a shitty flop. I rather watch a funny flop, like the new machete, which will be just as bad only intentionally bad.

Also, we need more DREDD that movie was great, with what it was given it made due with it and it worked well. It was as corny and cliche as I thought it would be and I enjoyed every minute of it.

After the Stalone version, the only way i would watch another Dredd Movie is if they were to turn this into a movie:

(On second thought, after all the feedback might check out the recent version)

Didn't an empire already rise in 300? Shouldn't this be be called 600 or 3000 or something like that? Hollywood confuses the shit out of me these days.

Yeah, after I heard about there being no sequel, I was sorely bummed. They said for the budget/release, it was basically an "indie" film. Hell, if they were to Kickstart a sequel I'll totally throw my money their way.
DREDD was spot on and perfect reboot of the franchise. Gritty, dark, and ultra-violent. It reminded me of Escape From NY. Karl Urban did an amazing job keep that frown and stone-cold attitude.
My only regret was NOT seeing it in 3D. Looked like it was a bloody good time.

The best way to support it is to buy the dvd or bluray. I did back when it came out, but I guess not enough people bought it to make the studio notice.

Movies like Austin Powers and things like Arrested Development have been carried on only because of fan support, be it online purchase of it or getting a physical copy of the release. I hope Urban gets to be Dredd again, he did great.
