Thanks! I really enjoy seeing them everyday. Man that Snake Goner dog you got is incredible! Also i had no clue the new BBB had a white color variant.
I actually picked up the same three just a few days ago, they are awesome indeed, lovely examples of glitter. Love the way the vinyl is almost transparent when held against light, that dark petrol green and black is a great combination with the purple / red glitter.
Right was regular Secret Base release, middle was chase variant and left was Shocker store exclusive.
Hey Phil, I think my first Secret Base was a Obake Dog, unfortunately not 100% sure as I bought quite a few the same day, during my first trip to Japan in 2008: I finished up hauling between SB, Bemon and Sunguts. I've been collecting SB since but I'm not a completist in any way, I just pick up what I like... and I love Obake Dogs, Goners, many of the Go Nagai based releases, unpainted and marbled Pushead, MIM, Balzac, some of the Cure colabs et cetera. Fight figures however, such as the Skull Bees above, are a recent addition. Anyway I think my first Secret Base was the Obake Dog here below, with the red shirt (sorry can't find a better shot at the moment): I clearly remember thinking when I first saw this rub version that to me it looked somehow related to Hideshi Hino and to Mizuki's early GeGeGe No Kitaro drawings (I think the rub added to that impression) and discovered later the reference to Madballs. The thing is that if I think of my collection and count the SB toys, I have the feeling I just have a few but in reality I'm pretty sure they exceed by far any other company I've collected in these years (except perhaps Gargamel).
had to post.....it only took me four years to track this sucker down... huge thanks to my guardian angel for pointing me in the direction of it's sale!! this is only the second one I've seen on the open market since its release...and both went for original retail...makes the wait even sweeter!
