    Hi everyone,
I'm Rich and I'm a Graphic Designer and Illustrator from London, UK.
Started collecting last year after a visit to Japan and my collection has grown quite quickly since then.
I started with a Rebel Ink and after a few further trips to Japan my main interests in collecting turned to Tetsujin 28, Bounty Hunter and Secret Base.
I'm now looking to further build on these (particularly SkullBrains) with my collection so will be great to check out the forum here.
I create customs under the name Toy Terror and regularly post toy related stuff through my instagram: rich_sheehan
    Thanks for having me here,
    Cheers,
    Rich

    Hello everyone,

I didn't know what vinyl toys were until a few months ago. I'm a big fan of the other kind of vinyl. My favorite band is Balzac, but despite that I worked in Japan from 2005 to 2012, I had no idea about the toys. I even had the Complete Legacy book, but never looked past the discography. Because I would visit Disk Union every weekend, I didn't keep up with Balzac websites, thinking that I'd find everything I need in the stores. Well, I was wrong.

After returning to the US and not being able to get to Disk Union, I started getting into Scapegoat's website and realized that I missed a crapload of awesome stuff. I was especially intrigued by these "Skullmen." They are like a physical representation of the music. I looked at my book and noticed there was one for Deep, which is my favorite album. Is it rare? Expensive? I had no idea. I saved a search on eBay and 20 Eyes' Joe (does he post here?) put his up and I got it. Now I have 8 Skullmen, all from Joe!

I've been lurking these forums for the past few months, trying to learn about your hobby. with great intrigue. As for me and toys, I think I'll just be sticking to the Balzac stuff. My goal is to get the Skullmen + friends with album titles on back that correspond to musical releases and Halloween-related Skullmen.

    My wishlist is:
    全能ナル無数ノ眼ハ死ヲ指サス (zennou Skullman, yellowish)
    13 Stairway skullbat (red)
Last Men on Earth II skullbat (blue)

I have no idea what was released from 2008 up.

Also, I know Thornton, he's a great guy and we are building a Misfits discography site together.

So feel free to PM me if you want to know what something says in Japanese or if you want to sell me Balzac stuff.

    Thanks for letting me in.

I'm west of Tampa, but Tampa is more well known. But my stay will only be a few years.

    Hi everyone
I'm Rachel, 28, from Australia. Been collecting stuff my whole life, but have turned my focus to collecting toys recently. My greatest collection is my A Clockwork Orange collection, and it's the collection I usually spend the most money on, but random toys, they're what I'm spending most of my money on just lately. My collection is growing.... reasonably quickly(for someone with a low income anyway), I plan to share many photos online in a few weeks(getting new furniture). Though my collection isn't that impressive yet, I tend to focus on toys that reflect myself, or my interests(or at least I try to ) so I like showing off the things I have. Recently been browsing kaiju & sofubi a lot, though I'm quite fussy about the ones I'll buy. I like toys with unusual faces, when they're not quite 'right' it creeps me out & they MUST be added to my shelves... my blogs probably explain my taste in toys better.

Also I do a bit of a art work, basic graphic art, sketching. In the near future I hope to actually do something with these skills. Recently found a few 'toy design' contests I'm going to try entering etc. It's been so long since I took the time to focus on my art, that I'm just trying to get back into the flow again.

I also have two blogs, one for my ACO stuff & one for 'other' toys. I try to update them reasonably often(the ACO blog get's a bit neglected sometimes)
    http://stuffiwantthingsineed.blogspot.com.au/
    http://aclockworkorangecollector.blogspot.com.au/

Basically I just struggle along, scrounging together little bits of money, buying what toys I can(& occasionally killing myself saving for something a little higher priced). Maybe one day, I WILL do something with my art, make lots of money & buy ALL the toys.... I can dream.

Hi Rachel, welcome to the board. ACO collection, that is something pretty cool, I didn't realise there was that much merchandising/promo material for it. Don't worry too much about the toy budgets, lots of us don't have disposable incomes, but you find ways to make it work. Stick to what you buying and enjoying what you like, and I am sure you'll do fine.

Yeah, i figure i have years and years to buy toys before I die, so if it takes the rest of my life, I'm ok with that  And i have one or two opportunities each year to make my more expensive purchases. It could be worse

Glad to be abroad the SB train. Collecting is nice, but actually getting to know the brains behind who makes what i put on my shelf, is a real honor. It just feels great to be here!
