Ha, totally on the other side of the spectrum. I played Megami Tensei 3 for PS2 and I couldn't get into it because I didn't know what I was doing. I'm getting into it more, but I don't like the Persona System, the collecting like 100 cards from an enemy to get 1 persona is a pain in the butt. I still haven't bought Dragon Crown, it's been a busy week. I will sooner or later.
Yeah SMTIV is much more open to newcomers, but then still holds the difficulty for the hardcore. Its like the Dark Souls of Pokemon. Demon collecting is cool but hard. Demons are so bi-polar. Say one thing that you think is the right thing to say to get them to join your team, they take it the wrong way and just slash you up to death! But when you finally get one on your side, and then fusing some others for new demons (over 400?!) it's just too cool. I'm about 9hrs and the story is really just starting to get interesting. Playing some Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D on the side. SUPER fun game. Might be one of my new favorites for the 3DS. Crazy action and fun levels.

Just started playing Charlie Murder on the xbox360 and if you love old school multiplayer games like the old double dragon series and collecting and level upgrading like the castlevania series and the ultra violent punk rock style of the game you will love this. It plays really well and it's pretty difficult which I always see as a plus. So many little touches are added to change how you play or how your character looks. It's not that great alone but with a few extra people it's a blast. Once I got into the pretty deep beer brewing mini game I was hooked. Here's a random video review from a site I like.
Gaurodan, the new Locomalito game is out and its about a giant pterodactyl wrecking havoc ! Played one game and it looks great (again). I'd recommend trying his other games and particularly Hydorah (will remind you of Gradius), Maldita Castilla (Ghost and Globlins like) and l'Abbaye des Morts. http://www.locomalito.com/ And all his games are free...
Been playing Monaco: Whats Yours Is Mine on Steam. Really great heist game, simple gameplay but super addicting. Haven't played the online co-op yet but I hear its even more fun than the solo.
im downgraded to a casual gamer it seems. I only really care about fifa and BF3 I did softmod my psp and have been able to get every memorable PS1 game but have yet to play any. might want to hit up deception again
I'd love to be playing some Dragon's Crown right now, but the UK has to wait. Consoling myself with the infuriating Plants Vs. Zombies 2 and the so far mediocre Mercenary Kings. MK looks the business but the weapon crafting element is really underplayed and the time limit on each level is counter-productive: goes against the hoarding mentality of stuff like Borderlands. That said, nice to play something that reminds me of Metal Slug, even if it does pale in comparison. It's worth noting that it's only the early access version right now, too. So, perhaps it will get better.
You sir have good taste! Ive heard a lot of good things about the PS3 Ketsui port. Ive been backed up with games so haven't took the plunge yet. So random they just decided to put this out on PS3.
The console to get for shmups is the 360. Don't know why Cave decided to bring Ketsui on the PS3, but I hope it's as good as the 360 port. Don't know what the future of shmups will be, but Cave is no longer its herald sadly... The next great news is the sequel to Bullet Soul ! Ketsui is so great, but so demanding at the same time. For hardcore players only.
Yeah I have most of the 360 ports released so far. I dont have a NTSCJ 360 so no Ketsui. I did play a few credits of the arcade version in Japan a few years ago, I remember it being pretty brutal.
A Clone In The Dark. Nice retro vibe. Very hard. Funny comments on your actions. Free for PSPlus members. I recommend PSPlus in general - they are putting about 3 full PS3 titles, the same number of PSVita games and an occasional PSN game into the PSPlus section every month - for free! Once you bought it, you can keep it as long as you are a member - deleting it and downloading it again included. One of the last games was Assassin's Creed 3 . . . which is like 6 months old? I just started XCOM: Enemy Unknown which I would never have bought but I am really enjoying it.
I started playing GT5 again after having lost my save when my PS3 died. If anyone has some cars they want to send over to me, that'd be great the worst part is having to do all the license tests again
Currently playing Crackdown (jump to orb, jump to next orb).... Just finished Red Faction: Armageddon, which was really good, not surprised at all! I have always enjoyed the Red Faction series. Red Faction 1 & 2 were FPS and Red Faction Guerilla and Armageddon were 3rd person shooters.
Currently running through red dead redemption for th 5th time, but first time on my ps3. It's been quite a while this game holds up.
just had flashbacks... damn those furry bastards. The mountain lions were bad enough, but manageable. One of them would come along, kill my horse. I take out the cat just in time to see the bear all of 20 yards away looking right at me. Yay!
