Kinda surprised there's been no mention of this at all on skullbrain, but Bwana's "My Friend the Micronaut" is coming up SOON... http://myfriendthemicro.tumblr.com/
Not a ton of activity on this thread, huh? Anyway, there's a Sunguts/BLObPUS/Dream Rocket/MaxToyCo show coming up on September 21st at Monster Kolor Studios. It was supposed to be *this* weekend, but I guess shit got held up in customs...
I am still planing on being there for the opening on the 21st. Should be a pretty good show. WIth this and Toy Karma 4 on the way, there should be some amazing pieces.
Have to miss out on the opening of the Kaiju Group show at the Monster Kolor gallery. My daughter has been sick for a week so it just wouldn't make any sense. Anybody who is going, enjoy yourselves tremendously and hopefully I'll meet up with you guys soon enough down the line.
Looking forward to this one, (admittedly partly because I'm in it!). Toys and Art by Jeff Lamm, Bwana Spoons and myself, Galaxy People. Customs by Rampage Toys too! Held at Rampage Studios in Tokyo from 7pm Friday 18th October. 'Three Guys Walk into a Bar'
Hey, I saw photos from that show and thought your stuff was cool. Your Galaxy People looked great with those beads in 'em.
Okay, folks! This is pretty big news for me: yours truly will be leading a class on 3D printing toys at Monster Kolor Studios in Massachusetts next month! I will be assisted by our wayward Ben Mininberg (prometheum5) and mecha artist extraordinaire, David White. Not only will folks learn all the tricks necessary to start producing their own toys in this new crazy medium, but students will actually print and finish their own robot toy through the course of the class! As Matt "Dead Presidents" Walker, owner of Monster Kolor, says below, You make it, you take it. The spots are filling up frighteningly fast, but if you're available and in the Massachusetts area, I really encourage you to come through. Even if the class is sold out, come anyway! You may not get a spot to print your own figure, but you can see the whole process firsthand and otherwise participate. As you can imagine, I'm pretty psyched about this class. It should kick off a pretty big year for us robot guys...as we bring some of the artistry and communal aspects of the designer vinyl world that we enjoy here to robot toy collecting! Edit: Perhaps it would help to post the registration link, no? http://www.monsterkolorstore.com/3d-printing-class/
