a new Moon rises......... just a note to the (deleted) who hoarded over half of the NYCC versions for resale at a higher price point- good (deleted) luck!
WOW. the moon figure is amazeballs. I only have a glow standard Kusogon (love it), and a Black Lagoon creature on the way.
Admittedly this Target Earth Figure does nothing for me except make me want to watch the Smashing Pumpkins video for Tonight Tonight. haahaha Moon Guy
Target Earth - CANIBAL MONSTER "YUMMIELA" ターゲットアース: 食人怪獣 ヤミーラ This is prototype image and there are no release date yet. Maker mentioned there will be other head version. this reminds me a US cartoon character but i dont know the name....
Target Earth - LOWBROW GOLEM This is prototype images and there are no release date yet. I m sure its inspired by Nag? But it also a mix of DUSTMAN + ANDY WARHOL..........
Love that new funny looking guy. I don't know about the Nag knock off. I don't really care to support any blatant knock off even if it is of the evil Nag and it's the only Nag knock off with a sense of humor to date. Target Earth makes some of the best original figures in my opinion, The designs and the sculpts are great. The knock offs are kind of unnecessary and I think only hurt them the people's perception of them, so I'm not sure why they continue.
Aren't Nags just Dustman knockoffs anyway? So another knockoff of a knockoff. I think this one is in good humor. Like others have said, I think it's just part of TE's charm at this point. Sato-san is uber talented and one of my favorite sculptors. He surely doesn't need to be ripping figs, it must just please him to do so. Or maybe he just wants to crank out stuff that he thinks will sell.
I was told Sato-San actually sculpts with river clay. Grabs it from the ground himself, just like olden times.
seriously? if thats true that could be so cool. but i see some of his head sculpt on his blog. seems like plaster or water base clay maybe Fando. i heard the first Nag use a secret material and it was chewed by mouth. wonder wt could that be. maybe a pile of chewing gum or sth. i always interested to know the sculpting material for the toy maker, any thread about this topic here?
