Another recent-ish one i just had to have Hitotsume Kozo by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr Hitotsume Kozo by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr
Yeah he is really great. It looks like he is on a shinier vinyl than the more matte Sunguts usually uses for yokai stuff?
yeah, the paint is relatively matt and the vinyl is quite glossy. He's got quite a fine balance on those little feet but he stands sturdy enough
Great collections, nice pics! I really like these two. Was the Cochinobake a festival-only release? I've never seen it for sale anywhere . . . .
Thanks, I picked up my Cochinobake at Wonderfest last year but I also saw it for sale at a couple other small events around the same time, since then though I haven't seen it anywhere. Hopefully you find one, its a really nice piece.
^^ Thanks, hopefully . . . . . I saw a photo last year and i've been looking out for one ever since. That clear-yellow vinyl looks gorgeous!
I've wanted one of these sets for quite a while . . . scored one recently and couldn't be happier with them. I really do love that Chochinobake. It would be so great to have a few of these to hang up in a line outside a little model building/temple, or a few versions in different sizes to set all together in a group. Another plain excellent yokai sculpt from Sunguts.
^ Indeed! In fact, this is Mach, a dog from a manga by Mochiru Hoshisato. The story is about a little girl who mourns her dog's death. So Mach convinces the Gods to let him return to Earth for a short period to help the girl out. And Sunguts brought him to life as a toy...
