I was trying to say that Zollmen's enbankaijyu maza was sculpted before the TE one.
Also, for example, he sculpted the mekagorilla and the soto majin (who was never released) at the same time of the original one, putting on his blog photos of painted sculpts for open orders.
As I said, he always try to be as fast as he can so people like you would think that he made the original. Got it? :)

From what I hear t.e. has permission for all these peices. The toy world is small and most artists are friendly. He also does so few and scarce runs that'd they would never effect to big picture for the artist doing full production of they're characters.

Gebora was one of the first TE pieces I really needed.
Came out around 2005/6 if I remember correctly.

I don't know about all. How about the NagNagNag pachi? Sorry I mean Dustman in drag. :D Guess he doesn't need permission from Shig since it's Dustman. :D

I understand that Shig was very upset and confronted him on the figure. We won't be seeing that fig made.

That is a huge disappointment. I was so excited to get one of those, should they have made it to production.

I think what's interesting is Sato-San probably sculpted the para baby Dustman, as he has sculpted many Marmit figures. Maybe if Nag used his work as inspiration he should have the right to use a nag as inspiration in return.

No, it was designed by akamatsu and sculpted by tada.

Maybe the marking on the Dustman Drag should have "Fuck Shig". Lottery submissions for this first release can be submitted to FuckShigInTheEyeSocket@targetearth.com. :D

Pity because imho it was so much better than any of the latest nag output.

^Agreed, but then I am categorically not a Nag fan.

Didn't realize Sato was responsible for Marmit sculpts, but should have because of the Marmit/Skull Head Butt connection. I keep forgetting there are 0 degrees of separation when it comes to our little slice of collecting culture.

^What's YOUR problem? We all understand that you have a burning hatred for Target Earth. You've made that clear. Some (actually, a LOT of) people choose not to agree with you.

    Now quit flaming the thread.

^^^ agreeing with the above. We are all entitled to our opinions, but we try not to beat the hell out of someone till they agree. If you aren't a TE fan then stop lurking the thread. :|

    To each his own.

I think TE is GREAT! He's in the thick of things, his output is crazy, he does patchis of patchis which I feel is brilliant! And his creation of GAMERUDON is GENIUS!

Sorry if this is a total Fresh Meat question (I'm still learning) but how can this company and Gargamel make kaiju that are so incredibly similar without any copyright issues?
They both make something that looks like Garg's Zagoran and Deathra, but with different names...
Are both incarnations based off of a different design, or one copy it off of another?

Completely understandable to be confused by seeing that.. actually both companies (and many others) have based their designs off original kaiju designs from the 60s/70s. Slight tweaks here and there, for example Gargamel have taken these original concepts and produced a friendly version of a lot of kaiju, making their designs contemporary but with that vintage flavour

Interesting stuff! I'll have to do some digging into vintage kaiju, then. Thanks a bunch for being nice to the newbie, haha
