Nope, still safely available on YJA... and I agree, if anyone of this board buys it at that price, I'll kick them in the nuts too.

Ehhhhhh... hand paints are nice, but $900? I agree that it's one of the less appealing hand paints, but I'm not sure any of the cool looking ones are worth $900...

hell no would i pay 88K yen for that HP (but I think i like this particular one more than most of you)... I'm content with it being a permanent fixture on YJA.

now a handpainted Kaws x Pus on the otherhand... if you want to sell me one of those for the the equivalent of 88K yen, hit me up with a PM!

I have ordered from Toy Tokyo both by web and on the phone and they have always been very good. Given the fact it is sometimes the only place to find rare stuff I consider them to be a vaulable resource.

My 3 cents: Altho I have had the odd problem with inventory already sold out when ordered online, by phone (and in person) I have always had a good experience with TT. I find the emails you got unbelievable (I mean I believe u, but unbelievable in teh snese anyone wantng customers would send those out) ... I mean, were they totally unwarranted and out of the blue? I have seen people get so amped about a toy that sometimes they may come across as rude, when in reality they are just filled with nervous energy, and if the clerk is underpaid and over worked, then shit happens.

    Hey Guys.

This is Adam from ToyTokyo.com. I handle most of the Email responses at the site. I read this over here and I tried to join up last week, took a while for the name to process I guess.

Let me start of by saying that indeed the guy who recieved the "Boo hoo" email had a right to be mad. THat was definatly me. And it was rude. I tend to be a really colorful, really sarcastic and sometimes rediculous guy in real life, and I forget that my foolishness RARELY translates into text. I regret that. What I try to do, when I talk to customers, is let them know that there is a person on the other end. Not a computer with more patience than a human being should have or with all the answers. Just a guy who is willing to work with you to get you what you want. I have dozens of costumers contact me regularly at the website specifically, because we have befriended each other at some point, talked nonsense and even joked around. That type of relationship is awesome, because those people forgive the little errors we have sometimes over here, and I go the extra mile for those customers in terms of finding info, deals, free goodies.

For those who deal with ToyTokyo.com regularly, they understand the issues we have. They also understand that the service is usually good and that you can get some incredible stuff that you cannot find anywhere else at times. We have a small staff, and we work very hard to get every single person what they need or to let them know if we cannot, and adjust accordingly. It is very difficult to deal with so many artists, items, shipping companies and malfunctions, customs debaucles in other countries, computer mishaps, and excited / angry costumers with only a handful of people. I hope most of the costumers understand that. I am usually a sort of humerous, mercurial jester in my Emails... and I am not at all underpaid but certainly working like a beast. But I do have a life outside of vinyl toys, I am young and have a young child, and sometimes I am having a rough, rough day. And so, I bit back in that Email. Not good. Like I said, I regret it. And I apologize for being rude.

I still enjoy though, giving a little bit of myself when I work with artists and costumers. I do not want to be a knee jerk cyborg with my responses. It is good for me to be involved on a personal level with some of the costumers, because it makes this business seem more like what it promotes. Which is creativity, fun, character. As for some other people, who claim to be told to grow up, or something offensive like that, well, those might be taken out of context and you might consider the dialogue that had been established already as well as the humor. The poster above me was correct though, that in some cases costumers are like balls of fire, nervous, excited or annoyed. And I hope some people understand that when they are contacting us looking information. There are two sides to every story, but I say now that I accept responsibility for this anyway. This is business, and that's just how it goes....

I've decided to tone down my hijinks but remain sincere in my Emails. What has not changed also is that I am here to dig down into matters and help costumers be happy with us in one way or another, whether it be a quick and convenient refund, a hunt for an item we have in the retail store, or solving a mysterious package problem. You can always Email me at my private Email address, which many costumers have, and speak to me privately about any of this, especially if you want to continue about this matter. Or to vent, you can call me all types of names, I promise I wont be an goofus (from highlight magazine, remember?.. ;)

You can email me there for any other questions for that matter. You will get a response back.

I apologize one last time for those who were angered or are angered by dealing with us for ANY reason, whether I am responsible or not, and thank the rest of you who deal with us and have kind words to say.

    be easy

I am usually GALLANT.... but for some reason I loved Goofus... I mean if you name your son Goofus it's not like he's going to become secretary of state or anything...

REmember they called the magazine "Fun with a Purpose?"

when I was little, I thought that spelled "Porpoise"... you know. the animal.

and I wondered, why the hell is it ALWAYS about have fun with a porpoise? I never see the goddamn porpoise. then again I am not the brightest crayon in the box.
