I might also mention that the toys in the photo above are being given away in clear blue as a prize for a drawing contest being held by Lulubell Toys on Instagram. They will NOT be released to the public, so might be worth getting your draw on.
Still can't decide if I like the mummy enough yet, but the creature is definitely getting ordered and hopefully painted by someone awesome
The mummy is cool. You should definitely get that one too. May I suggest hellopike for paints? Good guy, great paints.
Very interesting that SK is making these "Universal Monsters" Pretty cool looking. Here's a pic of a painted set I found. Were these ever for sale anywhere? I'm guessing with licensing probably not. I must admit I'm a bit out of the loop on most 'new' toys.
I actually forgot to comment on Anthony's spectacular Marine Kong pics. Yeah both of those are beautiful looking, but Anthony they way you shot them in what I assume was a lighting box with low light, well it really shows off the paint application. They almost look like rare ancient artifacts. Good stuff. I want some clear SK Marine Kongs lol! I only have a one off Kong a kind SB member sold me, but some of these clears and glow version are out of this world.
Thanks guys. 98% of the time I just use natural sunlight. But this time for the first picture I did use a lamp. The other second one is 100% sunlight.
Really like the sculpts on all 4 of these, with the ancient one (mummy) being my favorite of the bunch.
im debating on which one i should go for i really like space man? but violent beast is just too good. Then again they are all really great and its hard to believe theyre 9 inches they look like theyre around the 5.5 inch mark going from the pics
Hope some board members here have been sketching something rad. Rexx in back for scale purposes. The Violent One definitely takes it for me.
When did this version of the kuchisake onna come out? Wonderfest 2013? Are they one off's? Looks similar to my wonderfest 2012 version. I've decided i need that black kimono version!
That black kimono version looks so creepy and ominous! I hope you find one! Also does anyone know if Kuchisake-onna is a retired sculpt, or if they will ever release a new version? I know Lulubell still carries the Ghost and GID versions, but they're both nakie. Would love to nab a clothed version one day. I guess if it is a retired sculpt, I can always learn to sew...
Anyone have a photo of what this looks like under the veil? http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/it ... 80561.html EDIT: This is as close as I got searching on Google... A blue hand
Oh my... That is gorgeously creepy! Never would have thought that blue would work so well for this sculpt! Thank you for posting it!
This Gaezal was listed as a one-off, but I think it is an older version, not a new one-off. It was probably made at the time of the GID version released in Siccaluna's first year (2007). Several reasons. I don't think there has been a Gaezal run in GID since then. The paint work is much simpler than the current one-offs. Finally, it uses the same colors as the production GID version, just in a different arrangement. So, possibly a test paint or a lottery item.
